On top of that they're losing thousands of men fighting in someone else's country and are spending billions in a war they never thought they were going to be in. Ukraine can at any time transition to an insurgency and just keep killing Russians in the end Russians will have to decide how many of their sons they're prepared to lose in Ukraine. Unless Russia can break the will of the Ukrainian people to resist Russia is going to lose the war. Ukraine is being supported financially by the world and that will continue after the war when the country is rebuilt
