There hasn't been a tank in history that couldn't be knocked out and the russian T90 which is a multi million dollar tank which is actually more modern than the Abrams variant which has been sent to Ukraine is also getting destroyed on a regular basis. The Russians won't even put the T14 Armata on the battlefield because they know it's going to burn.

It's you that doesn't seem to understand that ballistic missiles aren't slow they travel at hypersonic speed. Ballistic missiles which are hypersonic fly a more predictable flight path. Hypersonic missiles with a glide body are harder to intercept because once the glide body has separated from the missile it can manoeuvre on the way to its target making it harder to intercept. I will repeat it again the THAAD system is not designed to engage slow moving targets it is designed to intercept ballistic missiles in their terminal phase that's when they're re-entering the earths atmosphere and they're going at their highest speed which is hypersonic

Saying allied forces sat back to watch the USSR get bled out is pure propaganda there was no way to launch a major amphibious landing in France until the German submarine forces had been defeated which was achieved in may 1943. It then took 12 months to move over 1 million American soldiers to the UK plus all the equipment and prepare a floating harbour that could be used after the beaches had been secured and a oil pipeline also had to be developed to supply the forces. The Russians never faced having to do an amphibious operation on this scale in world war two. While that was happening the west fought in north Africa and Italy and conducted bombing raids against Germany on a daily basis attacking German cities and industries keeping a lot of German fighter squadrons in Germany and inflicting a lot of casualties on them. They also tied down thousands of 88mm guns with millions of rounds of ammunition that otherwise would have been on the russian front destroying Russian armour. They also supplied 500,000 trucks to Russia while the Germans were having to walk and they also supplied 6000 aircraft plus armoured vehicles. The Americans built more aircraft in world war two then all other countries combined. The Dieppe landings were the first attempt at a landing in France in world war two and was a disaster and a lot of lessons were learned that were applied in the Normandy landings. The Germans didn't react quickly when the Normandy landings happened because they thought the landings were just a feint and that the allies were going to do the main landing further up the coast. The battle of the bulge was a decisive defeat for the Germans they made ground early with the element of suprise but once that wore off the American units started fighting back hard and the Germans ultimately weren't able to take their objectives the weather cleared and fighter bombers took to the air and finished the German advance decisively. While the west was fighting the Germans they were also conducting major operations against Japan Russia did nothing against Japan till the last few months of the war in 1945.

  35.  @LifeandLiving778  you should go and read some history books instead of barking here the Vietnam war lasted 12 years for the Americans and the Vietnamese weren't cashed strapped they were supplied by Russia and China and the US fought a limited war no ground forces were allowed in north Vietnam so the war could never be won because all the Americans were doing was holding the line and they couldn't hold it for ever at some point they had to go home. The Taliban fought an insurgency using small arms and IED hiding amoung the civilian population and in Pakistan avoiding major battles and using time as a weapon. They just waited the US out because they knew the US had to go home at some point and the afgans do the same thing to everyone who invades Afghanistan..
