Saying allied forces sat back to watch the USSR get bled out is pure propaganda there was no way to launch a major amphibious landing in France until the German submarine forces had been defeated which was achieved in may 1943. It then took 12 months to move over 1 million American soldiers to the UK plus all the equipment and prepare a floating harbour that could be used after the beaches had been secured and a oil pipeline also had to be developed to supply the forces. The Russians never faced having to do an amphibious operation on this scale in world war two. While that was happening the west fought in north Africa and Italy and conducted bombing raids against Germany on a daily basis attacking German cities and industries keeping a lot of German fighter squadrons in Germany and inflicting a lot of casualties on them. They also tied down thousands of 88mm guns with millions of rounds of ammunition that otherwise would have been on the russian front destroying Russian armour. They also supplied 500,000 trucks to Russia while the Germans were having to walk and they also supplied 6000 aircraft plus armoured vehicles. The Americans built more aircraft in world war two then all other countries combined. The Dieppe landings were the first attempt at a landing in France in world war two and was a disaster and a lot of lessons were learned that were applied in the Normandy landings. The Germans didn't react quickly when the Normandy landings happened because they thought the landings were just a feint and that the allies were going to do the main landing further up the coast. The battle of the bulge was a decisive defeat for the Germans they made ground early with the element of suprise but once that wore off the American units started fighting back hard and the Germans ultimately weren't able to take their objectives the weather cleared and fighter bombers took to the air and finished the German advance decisively. While the west was fighting the Germans they were also conducting major operations against Japan Russia did nothing against Japan till the last few months of the war in 1945.

@monaliza3334 The Germans were slow counter attacking the Normandy landings because they thought it was a feint and that the main attack was happening further up the coast. Your whole post was nothing but propaganda.
