Ukraine was never neutral because Russia was constantly interfering in Ukraines politics trying to ensure a puppet was in charge who would answer to Russia. After the cold war ended and countries got their freedom back from Russia they all joined NATO to get protection from Russia...

  39.  @sharmana100  As soon as the Americans left the afgans gave up they had been talking to the Taliban as soon as they found out the Americans were leaving. A lot of the afgans were only there for a payday and we're illiterate and a lot used drugs it was a lost cause from day one. The Ukrainian have fought very well and the war is far from over.

If Russia can't break the will of the Ukrainian people to resist there is going to be a long bloody insurgency which will be far worse than anything the Russians faced in Afghanistan or Chechnya..
