  4. ​​​ @Big-guy1981 The russian airforce is nothing in comparison to the US airforce they haven't even been able to destroy the Ukrainian airforce that they out numbered at the start of the war 10-1. The Russian army has looked very average in Ukraine they're fighting a conventional war with every advantage and are still struggling to achieve their goals. If Ukraine had the same artillery and airpower as Russia it would be game over for Russia they wouldn't take any ground..

The US airforce is superior to the Russian airforce that's obvious. The Russians are taking ground because they have artillery superiority and air dominance which in a conventional war is a huge advantage. What some people don't realise is just because Russia takes ground it doesn't mean they control the country they're an invading force and if they can't break the will of the Ukrainian people to resist they will end up facing a costly insurgency that will still be happening when Putin is dead.

Germany had no combat experience with their ground forces going into world war 2 they did so well because they fought with combined arms which was a very modern concept for that time. Combined with that a lot of the militaries they were facing were poorly equipped and led with doctrine that was based on world war 1. The Vietnam war was lost because the American public didn't support it and the politicians conducted the war putting serious limitations on US forces. The US wouldn't even put ground forces into North Vietnam so there was no way they could ever win the war all they were doing was holding the line which they could never do indefinitely. The US military won all the major battles in the Vietnam war so combat experience wasn't an issue. The Ukrainian are out gunned in artillery and airpower and when your fighting a conventional war that is a serious problem that they will struggle to overcome. Russia is fully mobilised for war while western politicians are fighting with one hand tied around their balls like they always do putting limitations on what can be done and what can't

  22.  @Big-guy1981  The Germans didn't have to fight to capture Czechoslovakia and only their airforce was fighting in Spain. They went into world war two with no experience in ground force operations. The Australians in 1918 mastered the combined arms doctrine using infantry, artillery,tanks and air power. The french tried to fight behind the Maginot line which was totally outdated and their leaders were all old men from world war one who had no idea how to counter what the Germans were doing and fight a modern war. You haven't fought in a war like what is happening in Ukraine so you don't know anymore than people commenting on here.

Ukraine was never neutral because Russia was constantly interfering in Ukraines politics trying to ensure a puppet was in charge who would answer to Russia. After the cold war ended and countries got their freedom back from Russia they all joined NATO to get protection from Russia...

  33.  @sharmana100  As soon as the Americans left the afgans gave up they had been talking to the Taliban as soon as they found out the Americans were leaving. A lot of the afgans were only there for a payday and we're illiterate and a lot used drugs it was a lost cause from day one. The Ukrainian have fought very well and the war is far from over.

If Russia can't break the will of the Ukrainian people to resist there is going to be a long bloody insurgency which will be far worse than anything the Russians faced in Afghanistan or Chechnya..
