Nothing to do with moral the Taliban just waited the US out they had all the time in the world the US didn't they had to go home at some point they key to victory was the Afgan army being able to stand on its own two feet and it couldn't. Afghanistan is corrupt at all levels the army,politicians and police and that couldn't be over come by the Americans.

@SarahH0g4n Yep in both wars the US were operating on a limited time line they couldn't stay there forever at some point they had to go home and the key to victory would rest on the nations indigenous army standing up and in both wars they didn't.

@general2018 No they didn't they could have stayed their longer if they wanted to it wasn't about money its about priorities and the US is simply more concerned with China in the pacific.
