Russia can't win this war they're struggling to win a conventional war and I have no doubt there is a major russian offensive coming no later than the beginning of summer next year to try and force a conclusion to the war. If the offensive fails and they suffer heavy casualties it could be the end of Putin the anger in Russia from the public over deaths of soldiers and an unwillingness to fight in the war,then you have all the oligarchs who have gained nothing from the war and last but not least the military who are paying the ultimate price. Even if Russia is successful in their major offensive the Ukrainian have the ability to change to an insurgency that will be well supplied. The Russians couldn't defeat a smaller lesser equipped insurgency in Afghanistan they are going to face an even bigger better equipped insurgency in Ukraine. They will start to suffer a death of a thousand cuts russian soldiers will die everyday from remote control mines,snipers fire,anti tank missiles and manpads. The insurgency can drag on for years and the Russian people will be forced to ask themselves what Ukraine is worth to them. Ultimately if Russia can't break the Ukrainian people's will to resist Russia is going to lose this war.

If the Ukrainian people start to struggle in a conventional war they can change to an insurgency and put a death by a thousand cuts on the Russian military. If the Ukrainian refuse to submit Russia is going to lose this war
