Anybody with half a brain knew at some point if the Russians kept throwing bodies at bakmut they would capture it.

Unless the Ukrainian leadership deem bakmut worthy of a major counter attack the city will be lost very soon it's been obvious since the fall of soledar that bakmut would eventually be encircled

@dragons_hook the ace up Ukraine's sleeve is they can transition to an insurgency anytime they want and it will be a slow bleed for Russia. Ukrainian casualties will be reduced as they operate more stealthy and Russians will continue to die everyday and the war will drag on for years. We will see how much the Russian people are prepared to sacrifice for Ukraine
