  1. The U.S shouldn't get into a competition trying to match Chinese production of ships they need to focus on increasing production of anti ship missiles. If China built a ship for $350 million the U.S can build 10 LRASM for $35 million. The key for America is building a large arsenal of LRASM and SM6 1B missiles that can be launched from aircraft like B1 , B2 ,B52, C17, hercules transports , P8 Posiden and submarines launching missiles 1000Km from the target. It will mean aircraft and submarines will cary the fight enabling the U.S to minimise the threat to their surface ships..
