  7.  @martinw245  keep in mind that with maneuverability and high speed can easily defeat a missle at bvr therefore dogfights are usually unavoidable

  9.  @martinw245   Martin W   Martin W  same stuff happened in the vietnam war "the missiles would do everything" they said "dogfighting is gone" they said when in reality most of their fights were fought close in thanks to the ability of enemies to evade and bad missiles yes todays missiles are better and so is the tech to defeat missiles and against the su57 the f35 has no chance of out dogfighting it since it has a better TWR and thrust vectoring with canards too also the su57 also features a helmet that can be used to fire off bore missiles most notably the r-73 or known as the AA-11 Archer also the su57 has the UOMZ 101KS Atoll electro-optical system which helps it on the awareness and countermeasures (go read about it to see what it contains)

  10.  @martinw245   well i guess its not fair to compare a dedicated dogfighter against a multi role and the ability to have super maneuverability and off boresight missiles are a pretty great combination and dont go too relying on the off bore heat seekers since the su57 has defenses against it (look up its electro optical sensors), thrust vectoring just gives you that extra bit of control even when you are in a stall (post stall maneuvering) and keep in mind that sometimes dogfights are fought guns only if the two sides run out of missiles at the same time, also this maneuverability was able to be done by 4th generation russian aircraft and its nothing to be amazed at. Also take note that having thrust vectoring means relying on it, the su57 is still super maneuverable with or without the thrust vectoring

  17.  @sovietpineapple7938  also keep in mind that they dont usually fight alone (allies and enemies) and the direct missiles from other friendlies is pretty same thing as launching them except its already been launched so the evasion should be the same

  19.  @sovietpineapple7938  yes and no yes missiles are somewhat maneuverable but they would have a lower energy the farther the enemy is therefore the enemy has more wiggle room the farther it is also the enemy would also have BVR capabilities which makes the f35s go on the defensive at the same time and if the f35 and the thing its fighting is both stealthy it would be always in visual range combat which the su57 would have an advantage at since it has the IRST

  23.  @KjetilBalstad  what im saying is that the su57 can maneuver better as in it has more agility i think that applies to it even if it has a full load and yes even in speed the su57 would have a better TWR meaning a better acceleration
