Get in touch with your suppressed emotions by writing about circumstances that hurt you in the past. Think about them and if tears start to flow, that means you are in touch with your pain. Let yourself cry. Cry and cry. Completely feel those painful feelings. They are deep inside. This process can take days, weeks, months, or years. As long as that memory brings up painful feelings you haven't finished grieving it. When there are no more tears to cry, you will find peace. The memory will remain but the emotions will not be attached to them anymore. You have felt and expressed them in your tears. A healthy normal human cries 3 to 4 times a week. In North America, we do not see the value of grieving. It is the natural and necessary way to release your painful feelings. In NA we just continue to suppress and ignore our feelings. If you don't release them they will haunt you for the rest of your live. They will surface again and again, trying to give you their message. Once you have received there message(felt the feelings) and released them in your tears, you will have expelled those emotions from your system. You will find a renewed sense of peace and your thinking will be clearer. 💖🙋🏼♀️
