..... In order to get past these emotions you MUST acknowledge the feelings and process then. How did you feel when something happened that caused strong emotions ? Were you safe to feel those emotions at the time or did you ignore them ? If they were suppressed and not fully felt at that time they will resurface to give you their painful message when you are safe to do so. Feeling and "processing" these emotions gets them out of your mind. Feeling painful emotions involves grieving. The crying that comes from feeling these emotions serve to get these feelings out. The feelings must be released or "expressed". This is a painful process but it cleanses away old emotions that were stuck inside you when you suppressed them. That is what grieving is. Feeling and processing these heavy emotions. Getting the pain out of your system. It is a natural way to sustain your mental health. 💖🙋🏼‍♀️

@Freedom_Prof I think you are not basing your opinions on the actual basic beliefs of each party. Do you know what beliefs that conservative parties base their actions on ? Do you know what a basic liberal platform is ? I think that it would make you less reactive and more informed in your opinions. I'm not a liberal but I don't agree with all of the conservative ideals either.

@carynmartin6053 That is not true. Your emotions are messengers there to protect you from harm. If you refuse to accept their message the emotions don't go away. They come back into your consciousness now and then trying to deliver their message. .......

@joejones9520 Narcissists have identifiable characteristics. If they possess all of these characteristics, they may very well have NPD. When people act cruel and with no empathy for other people they are often unliked. The diagnosis of NPD is only rare because; therapists are not well versed in personality disorders and don't always identify it. Also people with this disorder will rarely seek therapy because they don't believe they have a problem. Because of the way past generations were taught that abuse was within the normal range of disciplining children. When the children grow up in this environment, the are given this behaviour as an example of parenting, so they believe their behaviour is valid. It is difficult to break this chain of wrong thinking because the entire extended family is conditioned to accept this kind of behaviour. The abused child is told that the abuse is for their own good so they believe their parents have their best interests at heart. Of course abuse is not love, but parents defend their behaviour by claiming that abuse is part of love. As you can understand, many, many children have been raised this way. Authoritarian and over controlling parents are still not thought to be causing trauma to their children when in fact they are. Society is finally becoming aware of why abusive parents produce abusive children and on from generation to next generation. In summary, there are many unidentified or undiagnosed Narcissists caused by bad parenting. Since bad parenting was considered within the range of good parenting by society in the past, we have an abundance of NPD among us. It is good to be aware of these damaged people so you aren't hurt by them. Of course there are other reasons that people hurt each other, but when it is because they don't have any empathy, it is a red flag for NPD. 🙋🏼‍♀️

@Geburtswehe Yes that may be true but it would be very difficult to change the intrinsic and deep beliefs that the Narcissist developed in childhood. This narcissistic behaviour they display works for them to get their needs met. To give up that behaviour is almost impossible for these people because they are convinced that they are normal and everyone behaves the way they do. It is a terrible affliction for both the abuser and the abused. I think it is good that people are becoming more aware of these people in order to identify them before becoming involved with them.
