@kronieno.2757 It's because that is what was taught in church. Nothing wrong with being honest as long as you learn to spot people who are not. Sometimes, you have to let people go because they can't be honest with you or anyone. They might be great in many ways but if they are not honest, they are not respecting you.

@johnhunt2390 There are also critical thinkers who have religious beliefs. They are not all dummies. I think there are a lot in Texas that have never challenged their beliefs and have just gone along with the group in order to feel like they belong. Consistently many Texas church goers have become MAGA people. That is another group where they can feel like they belong. They are not there for actual spiritual enlightenment but just to belong to a group of nice people. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Melatonin206 You can't be too "nice" or too "polite". You have to set your boundaries with people right away so they don't take advantage of your good manners. Learn how and when to say no instead of going along to Be"nice".

 @ChaosGodEnerjak My family too. They are always in the right and everybody else is to blame or not as good as they are. I have a whole narc ex family.

@OmegaIsBack64 Don't try so hard. You are not different than anybody else. We are all; young and old, trying to do better. Coping with life and people is a life long challenge. Every situation is different and every person is different. Don't expect too much from yourself. It is a natural process that evolves over time. I'm much more comfortable around people than I used to be. I was super shy when I was younger. As long as you are aware and learning, you will succeed. Try to be patient with yourself. You probably have lots of stress already so you don't need to add more from yourself. 💖🤷🏼‍♀️
