Just want to point out that even though hitler was a corporal in ww2, napoleon was an artillery officer and a genius. His tactics (that involve a lot of math) are still studied by the us field artillery school. Hitler dropped out of school and when he was rejected from art school they told him he had enough talent to be an architect. He never applied for the architect school because he had dropped out of school since he was sure he would be admitted into art school. But even so, I agree Putin is repeating history. I remember reading about the commissioned officers in total control during the revolution war and in the world wars and thinking how archaic that was. Even when I was in basic training they told us about that and I thought how insane that any army would still do that. I had no idea the Russians still do this, how arrogant can you be? Is it because they want to prove that their tactics are better than the west? 😆
