3:55 It's amazing how they planed in all details the destruction of the railroads they need, the accidents on the roads, the death of officers, the live cremation of tankists inside their tanks, the sinking of their amiral boat, the destruction of their best war planes, the explosion of their radars, the funerals, the burning of some of their industrial plants, the strategical retreats, the killing of their mercenaries, the drone strikes on Moscow, the devaluation of the Rubble, the defection of intellectuals to countries they identify as enemies, the loss of half their heavy artillery, the torture and killing of civilians by their own troops, the start and end of the "grain deal" and the role of Turkey in it, the political reaction of European countries and the evolution of NATO, the prices asked by China and India for their exports, the dead bodies of their troops in Ukrainian fridges waiting for them to claim them back, the landings and raids on Crimea, the military rebellion of Russians, the orders to fire on their own men to "motivate" them… with such a great precision, all of this years in advance ! They certainly are genius planers, aren't they ?

7:31 Morality: never call your family nor Domino's Pizza when your are ordered to sleep on top a 30 tons of high explosive with 500 friends while occupying a country you are at war with , like if partisans, satellites, drones, planes, spies, etc could not spot you, and like if nobody could simply watch you enter the building and light the bulbs, could not see the tracks of vehicles, could not detect infrared emission of the building through clouds, could not read energy grid usage reports, could not see the trains and supply moving, could not listen military coms, etc... like if all of this was nothing but a tourist trip.

6:05 The current sanctions against Russia are very clearly meant to impede military conquests and international crimes, not to destroy Russia. If Russia would give up its plans of conquest, in particular if it would evacuate Ukraine and let Ukrainians live as they want on their territory, and other territories it occupies illegally and agains the will of its inhabitants, then it is logical that it is no longer sanctioned for territorial conquest.
It is of utmost importance that sanctions are applied on the basis of behavior rather than nationality, otherwise they can no longer be decided at the international level and can no longer be applied.
Nevertheless, Russia would have to finance the reparations for its crimes in order to hope to deal again with many foreign partners. The trust of companies that once invested heavily in Russia's economic, technological and even military development is now extremely low and is not likely to recover overnight. The right to deal again with Russia doesn't mean people would like to, because they don't like so much risk and would like to keep their hands clean as possible. Even with fewer or no sanctions, Russia will still suffer from the now inevitable international mistrust and its obvious economic consequences for many years. Regardless of the legal decisions, History is written, so it is impossible for Russians to pretend that nothing happened.

0:53 I confirm that this is scientifically unsound , as there is no such thing as a specific Anglo-Saxon gene or allele (except in the delusional dreams of racists).
Apart from culture, which in fact defines what Anglo-Saxon is, what could be defined as genetically Anglo-Saxon are not specific alleles but rather a statistical vast and complex continuum of of many alleles combinations that are also present among non-Anglo-Saxon human populations in various proportions. Also note that some human genetic sequences and resulting proteins are shared with many other living species on the planet.
And finally, what could make a human anglo-saxon isn't vital , so it's extremely difficult to base an effective weapon on this.
This means that there can be no simple chemical solution to select Anglo-Saxons only without affecting the whole world, including most of the Russian population. This mean that, in order to work, each unit of this weapon would have to be as clever, complex and expansive as the laboratory that discovered it. It's a complete economical, technical and moral no-no from the beginning.
As a religion, this can go a long way. But as a scientific, technical and military project, it's doomed to failure.

4:58 Nota bene: The ADM-160 MALD is not a destructive missile. It is not meant to strike targets.
MALD stand for Miniature Air-Launched Decoy. It's rather a fast decoy drone that:
1) Drive enemy radars crazy by mimicking the radar signature of any other aircraft or missile.
2) Possibly spy on enemies radar: position, frequencies, operation sequences, etc…
It is used to:
1) Force enemy anti-air defenses to activate and drive them crazy while other much more offensive missiles actually find their target.
2) Gather information about enemy's defenses in order to bypass them or destroy them in future missions.
It goes a long way because it is light, and it is light because it does not carry an explosive warhead. So, in spite of it's outstanding range, it is definitely not going to strike Putin in Moscow.
In contrast, the Storm Shadow missile is an actual destructive weapons. It's a long-range (more or less 400-600km, depending on a great deal of varying parameters), furtive cruise missile with anti-bunker 450kg warhead. Generally enough to take down an entire building in one strike.
As you can imagine, ADM-160 MALD (US tech) and SCALP-EG Storm Shadow (EU tech) complement each other very well.

Oh, wait, This give me a great idea. Let say we organise the biggest fake referendum all around the world and say we all want to join Russia. 99.8%.
Yes, we all: Europe (more than 440 millions people), Africa (more than 1.2 billions), etc...
So now we all get a place in Douma, and the TV dolls who said Russia should nuke London or Paris are fucked, because Russians shouldn't nuke themselves, of course. And now we are Russian, we can go there whenever we want and just rule it !
Russians before this referendum are less than 145 millions, and not all of them supports Poutine. So yes, you get it: let's all join Russia by referendum and they are screwed! What they gonna do, hey ? It's referendum !😁

@puraLusa It seems there are more logistic options for the Russians outside the city, as they are supposed to siege it. But I have no idea how it's going inside.
I also don't know who has night vision and who has not, who has better night vision if both have, and who was better trained with such devices, and who has better access to electricity to recharge such devices if ever, and who is better trained to use flash devices to defeat night vision devices, and who has more imagination to improvise with, against, or without, etc...
Battles depend on very stupid things. As stupid as war is in general, no matter how clever people fight it.
And no, I don't assume such things. I wait for more data.
What I know is that some countries supplied Ukraine with high-precision shells for artillery and trained Ukrainians to use them. So maybe, maybe they can call for strikes on the buildings the Wagner group is hiding in, without too much risk of hits on their own troops. I don't know how much they want to keep main buildings intact for later, or how much they value such target.

9:34 Putin is making a enormous mistakes here:
1. He still believes that NATO members want Ukraine to join NATO to expand it. Well, no!
They aren't against it, if it can bring peace. But they aren't asking for it either, especially if they think it will not bring peace and help mad conquerors' plans.
NATO is confident in its capability to defend itself with or without Ukraine , especially against Russia. So NATO members will never push Ukraine to negotiate a spoliation by Russia only to become the direct target of Russia and be responsible for both the security of Ukraine and Russian crimes.
Territorial defense is precisely the point of NATO. It's not going to help Russia deny it. Duh.
The only motivation for NATO members to see Ukraine joining NATO is to deter any mad bloody conquerors targeting it and to return to sane business in peace that would maximise the profits for all. For this deterrent to be believable, it can't be based on the defeat and political division of its new members. So, if deadly threat don't deter Russia from aggressing neighbors and illegally keeping control of conquered territories (including for example Georgia, Kazakhstan, etc…) there is no incentive for NATO members to include Ukraine: they'd much better form a conventional international defense coalition against В.В.Пу́тин with all the nations threatened by this individual В.В.Пу́тин in particular, without the restrictive rules of NATO membership. This coalition could even include Russians who are fed up to suicide in support of his very personal conquest.
2. He still believes that Ukrainians want to join NATO for reasons other than peace. But there can be no peace with national territory occupied by genocidal madmen!
The Ukrainian army come to liberate territory and family members. They aren't going to sacrifice their family members and territory to get a protection they can get without such terrible sacrifice. Strange that В.В.Пу́тин can't understand family bonds, isn't it?
Ukrainian wanted to join NATO not to limit their defeat, not because they want more legal constraints, but to prevent illegal invasion and enjoy what is theirs.
If it doesn't solve this, if joining NATO doesn't keep hostile armies out of the national territory, there is no reason for joining NATO.

@CjrRbt You are taking us for one-week-old rabbits hoping to become our next master, you bastard.
Maybe you think you're the first one to try to dumb down the populace by playing on their ignorance and making them believe that anything medical researchers come up with is meant only to be used to subdue them? But more likely, you are trying to make people believe in something they can't know in order to become caliph instead of the caliph. A classic. Unless you are paid in small social rewards by exploiters of the naive and superstitious, which is not much better. I hope you aren't so desperate that you need to pervert yourself to this point to make "friends".
Refusing everything without a thought is obviously as stupid and dangerous as accepting everything without a thought. In both cases, it is the government's position that dictates behavior. This is still slavery, clearly. One really has to be completely brain-dead to believe that opposing is enough to be sure not to do bad shit.
Do you really think we don't realise that you are saying people what to do or not to do without explaining seriously why, just like Putin do by now ? If this work, people could trust any other dictator just the same.
You really should meditate with you own issue with power and frustrations before it goes as far as the current wars.
To compare the refusal to get killed or crippled in helping people to kill with the refusal to try a medical a solution against a pandemic, what an insult to your fellow humans, and to intelligence in general !
Study for real what you are talking about, please.
Note I'm not against people who decide for themselves not to obey things, as long as they accept the consequences of possible increase of danger for other people and their reactions. I just can't bear any more romantic, grandiose, all-confusing leaders coming with a simplistic solution for everybody.

00:30 Three reasons why Army Z can't use mayonnaise :
1. Mayonnaise is a French word. The first reference to this recipe dates back to 1815, by Antonin Carême, chef to the French court. Russia is waging an undeclared war against France , with the Kremlin using its resources to destabilize it politically (corrupting its allies, arming its enemies and inciting hatred, funding and influencing neo-Nazi parties), hence the rejection of anything that might strengthen cultural ties between Russians and French.
2. Mayonnaise is an egg-based sauce. Russia can no longer produce enough eggs, for some strange, stupid and unreasonable reason that has nothing to do with Russia's climate or geography, or any natural phenomenon (maybe Russian chickens don't like war?).
3. Only civilized nations with enough industrial capabilities can prepare and package mayonnaise in a healthy way so that salmonella cannot develop in it and does not cause any health hazard. It costs. To the point even the French army prefer not include it in its rations. The real danger is not a virus , but bacteria , as with any other unpasteurised egg, meat or fish-based food.

3:51 I don't know for sure what will happen, but this "already did much" pseudo-explanation is completely nut. In general, and even more in case of war, the most important is to deliver the needed hardware according to goals, not according to the diplomatic weather or out of frustration.
If a few F-16 more to combine with the existing army give much better chances of successful missions and dramatically reduce the waste of tanks and lives, then this is what must be done. It would be very stupid to brag about helping a lot with no significant effect because one piece is missing.
I am not a military expert, but I think that the air supremacy that Ukraine has been praying for since 2014 would have ended the war already, because it would have blinded Russia even more and neutralized its heavy artillery. Well, it seems quite obvious now that the Russian army cannot conquer or even keep occupied land in Ukraine without heavy artillery.
Real experts, tell me if I am wrong and why.
I am quite sad that Europeans are wimps counting beans and comparing efforts instead of accepting what it means that the Russian government is definitely becoming authoritarian, fanatic, and clearly expansionist with not limit, literally committed to the path of world conquest at all cost and its submission to the whims of one man at all cost.
We all have learned History. We know how it goes. We all know that the more we wait the worse it get and the more it costs. Surviving it requires more than half a reaction and half a treatment.
Of course, this "no" could be misleading. It could also mean that the U.S. will supply allied countries, which in turn will supply Ukraine, or some other diplomatic ploy to give Russian spies more work.

1:21 Why not ?
Dont be silly about the size of the machine. This is not a video game. *It's the type of ammo and launcher that make possible the destruction of a tanks, not the size of the automobile machine carrying it. An anti-tank missile launcher of anti-tank mine on a bicycle is still anti-tank.
In fact, I find this concept quite clever and promising :
- at least you don't lose men in case of mutual destruction.
- no men to protect mean much less armor, a lighter vehicle, improved mobility
- no men also mean better fuel autonomy and no more dependance on supply for men.
Of course, many details can turn it extremely effective of totally ineffective : doctrine, resistance to interference and jamming, manufacturing reliability, operators' training, vulnerability to other type of weapons used together with thanks, etc, etc…
I think Ukraine and many other nation in the world would be glad to have something like that for their defence.
I bet unmanned machines of all sort have a great future in warfare and many other preferable applications. Machines are much less versatile than humans but much better than them at the tasks they are designed to do. The role of the human being is to pilot machines, not to clutter them with his body.

Too bad they waited until they were too afraid of being killed to stop fighting.
It's extremely sad that so many people are willing to hurt or kill people they don't know, to help someone steal , as long as they think they can avoid the consequences or benefit from some crumbs of the theft. No kind of decisive morality beyond self-interest. No solidarity between members of the same species.
It's amazing how some hide behind the excuse "I had orders", "I just did my job as requested", even if it means scaring, hurting or killing people. But when it's their turn to die, all of a sudden, like magic, they start to think we can make an exception, because it's them, their skin, their life, their ass, so another morality should apply and orders and rules don't matter so much after all.
It shows that their mentality is entirely based on the fear of the strongest and that many people deeply lack spiritual autonomy : they don't decide anything about their life, they undergo it. They don't develop any higher moral values of their own, they just follow the beatings and run away from the most imminent threat all their lives, without the ability to truly respect others, to grant forgiveness, to trust, or to rebel against common real threats for the benefit of more people. I insist: perpetual escape from most imminent and obvious threat, not the actual greatest danger in the end.
Some even chose to commit suicide instead of improving their lives, too afraid of the responsibilities to face them.
Are we farm rabbits ? Are we ?!

12:45 Dude, I hope this will not be like the end of the first world war, when the frustrated motherfuckers started to look for internal enemies (jews, intellectuals, homosexuals, gypsies or whatever…) to justify their defeat and prepare the most enormous silly "revenge" of the century, ending only when their beloved leader actually suicide in a bunker, their capital fall, their territory is occupied for a while by almost all others nations to teach them how to live properly with respect for others and for themselves, and all their silly childish dreams of world domination are definitely ruined; until they finally learn in the only language they accept the super-obvious difference between Russia being safe and the insane need to bully everybody.
I hope Russia 2023 is not going Germany 1918, and that China is not preparing to become the next Russia.
It will never be the same (China is much more neutral, techs and culture have evolved a lot, demography isn't the same, etc…), but beware of similar socio-economical phenomena.
I mean we all decided that WWII would remain the last, and yet here is WWIII. Let's just make sure that when this WWIII ends nobody start to prepare WWIV.

I agree, and this is essentially what I hope or ask of everyone: Fight the only war worth fighting, not the one against the passport of servants, but rather the one against their most debilitating fears.
Don't bring down nations. Bring down their autocrats !
Here, as a motivation song, the REAL original words of L'internationale from Eugène Pottier (1871) , revolutionary song by excellence, translated in english an Russian:
> Debout les damnés de la terre! Debout les forçats de la faim!
La raison tonne en son cratère. C'est l'éruption de la faim.
Arise, damned of the Earth ! Arise, galley slave in hunger !
Reason thunders in its crater. It's the eruption of hunger.
> Du passé faisons table rase. Foule esclave, debout ! debout !
Le monde va changer de base. Nous ne sommes rien, soyons tout !
From the past, let's keep nothing[1]. Slave crowd, stand up ! stand up !
The world is about to change. We are nothing, let's be everything!
(bis)
It's the final stand!
Let's regroup and, tomorrow, the Internationale will be the (whole) human kind.
There is no supreme savior, neither God nor Caesar nor tribune.[2]
Producers, let's save ourselves. Let's decree common salvation.
To get the thief to spit out what he's swallowed, to get the spirit out of the dungeon,
let's blow on our own forge, beat the iron while it's hot.

The State pressures and the law cheats, taxes bleed the unfortunate.
No duty is imposed on the rich, the poor's right is an empty word.
> C'est assez languir en tutelle. L'Égalité veut d'autres lois.
"Pas de droits sans devoirs", dit-elle. Égaux, pas de devoirs sans droits.
It's enough to languish in guardianship. Equality wants other laws.
"No rights without duties", she says. Equals, no duties without rights.

Hideous in their apotheosis, have the kings of mine and rail
ever done anything other than rob work?
What it has created has melted away in the bank's vaults.
By demanding it back, the people only want their due.
The kings made us drunk with smoke. Peace among us! War on tyrants!
Let's apply the strike to the armies. Rifle stock up and break ranks.
If they insist, these cannibals, on making heroes of us,
they'll soon know that our bullets are for our own generals.

L'oisif ira loger ailleurs.
Workers, farmers, we are the great labor party.
The land belongs only to human beings. The idle will live elsewhere.
How many of them feast on our flesh? But if the crows and vultures disappear one of these mornings...
The sun will shine forever.

16:11 Wouldn't it be more correct to assume that the Russians have already all realized that they have been lied to about almost everything, and have already chosen one of these options a long time ago:
- protest and frontal rebellion: they have been neutralized (charged and put in prison, impoverished by administrative and socio-economic exclusion, murdered, sent to die in war by forced mobilization, put on the run abroad...).
- silence: they claim to be "apolitical", they know very well but they wait for someone else to decide for them, they refuse to take the responsibility they deserve.
- self-hypnosis and alcohol: they suppress the fear and discomfort caused by inconsistencies by constantly forgetting what is wrong (religious trance, personality cult, patriotic rituals, repetition of key sentences or words dictated from above, acrobatic rationalization, nationalistic symbolism exacerbated by plastic works such as "Z" or music, or even fanatical careerism, ritual sacrifice of men by sending them to war, etc); this is especially noticeable in the anger caused by legitimate questions perceived as "provocations".
All of this is very human, and very understandable (yet not always acceptable due to consequences) in their situation.
I also thought that many Russians did not know, but I changed my mind: they all know very well what is happening but refuse to admit it or refuse to fight it for fear of the consequences, and have done so for a long time.
Therefore, it would be stupid and futile to expect the Russians to get out of this unhealthy situation simply by realizing that they have been lied to.
But perhaps we can still hope for a renewed awareness of their own power as a people. Obviously, the vast majority of Russian citizens do not believe in this collective power and remain in avoidance. As for the others, they are largely controlled because their permanent anger is so strong that it is easily exploited in order to redirect the attacks towards the enemies of the government rather than against their own enemies including their current government.
Continuing to address the Russians as if they did not know may increase their anger but does not fundamentally change the exploitation of that anger.
I think it would be much more beneficial to reassure them of their ability to collectively produce political content and enforce it. They would need labor unions, popular self-education workshops, practical workshops to resist tongue-in-cheek, and in the worst case they would need physical defenses against the police: bulletproof vests, tear gas, tasers, flashlights, warning systems to avoid abusive individual arrests without the possibility of collective reaction, training in individual self-defense...
Some of them would also need alcohol detox and an psychological support program against mental depression.
Finally, I believe that there should be a promise of (at least partial) amnesty for the corrupt who would accept to let go their privileges instead of more mockery and threats of revenge or punitive justice, without which they will cling to the defense of the criminal enterprise Putin&Co at all costs, even if it means sacrificing their own family, just to save their ass.
In short, the more I learn about the abused Russians we are talking about, the more I think they are not so much lacking in information (even if it's true) as they are lacking incentive and individual self-worth.

5:00 I think that the only thing we can do to help Russian react to their government killing them, is to send them a huge lot of anti-Putin and personal defence weapons. By now, they are too afraid of Putin's snipers and Putin's Gestapo-like henchmen, and it's very understandable. They easily talk between Russians, but they don't dare to shout and protest, because they know that the leaders of revolutions become targets. But that may change if they can actually defend themselves.
It's also very possible they are just waiting for the next elections' results to take action. They may accept the deadly lottery for now, relying on their personal luck, but on the condition that this policy is limited in time. If unlimited in time, they may no longer accept it.
The Russian friends I had don't answer anymore. They don't tell whether they are technically cut from this part of the world, whether they are dead, in prison, or they just don't like what I say, are too afraid to be seen as foreign agents if they talk to me (but I haven't seen any will from their part to establish encrypted and very secure com channels with me while it was time for that), or whether are just pussies. Some I was about to meet in France are in bad mental condition (in hospital), and some I can still meet simply don't know more than me, moved out of Russia times ago, and would like to ignore the events if they could.
The plastic curtain has become very opaque.

6:23 This statement is misleading
- Publication through the internet does NOT guarantee the presence of metadata.
- For a picture file to include metadata , you only need to save it with metadata. If you don't want metadata, you can simply remove metadata from the file. This has nothing to do with the action of publishing it on the internet or anywhere else.
- Most camera automatically include metadata with every new picture. Some devices allow users to chose what data to include or not, at saving or at publishing.
- Some publishing platform require metadata, others automatically remove it, either at import on the server, or in the published version. Many publishing platforms let the users chose what data to include or not in each published picture.
- Even without metadata, decent OSInt analysts can locate where exactly a picture was taken, and tell when it was taken approximately, only by looking at the picture, especially if it was taken outside during the day and it includes notable land features such as buildings and vegetation.
- Available metadata included in image files can be read without any paid software, simply using command lines on a Unix or Linux OS if you know how, or using an open source soft such as GIMP for comfort.
To pretend to be military personnel participating in a "special military operation" today without knowing this is a shame.

3:34 Very interesting: see the "HEAT" and "DM 702" writings on this shell ? It's not any kind of shell.
It's very probably a special anti-armor shell featuring the "Suchzünder-Munition für die Artillerie" or "SMArt" system, specially designed to detect vehicles like tanks while in flight and to pierce them with plasma.
This round is very similar in use and effect to the french BoNuS 155mm round proved to be used agains Russian tanks coming to attack Vuhledar (if you can remember this disaster for the Russian forces), but it use a different in-flight stabilisation method.
One single round of these can destroy two moving tanks in one single artillery shot , at first shot, without any calibration fire, and from above, so the tank crew has no way to see it coming. At first, the survivors believed they ran on mines, and could not understand how mines could be placed so quickly just after their very efficient deminer worked. But in fact, they where under the fire of what is consider to be an actual high-precision artillery strike in western Europe.
There is no way a tank crew can fire back at artillery at this range, and the mobile artillery can just as well be on the move again before the shell even finish striking.
This shell can do nothing agains infantry, but it sure get rid of tanks, and fast.

It is a bad idea to trade the tranquility of Ukraine for Crimea :
- The exit of Crimea from the Ukrainian territory can only be done by free democratic way , by expression of all the people concerned, without coercion and whose validity is guaranteed by the freedom of observation, which has never happened. To negotiate otherwise would be a disregard of the will of the people, and more generally a worldwide encouragement to dictatorship.
- Crimea would continue to be a forward military base for Russia's future re-invasion of the rest of Ukraine and for its blockade by sea , while Putin would not be quite defeated politically. In other words, Ukrainians would still be threatened , and would therefore have gained only a very temporary reprieve.
- Such an agreement would not be renegotiable in case of new treason by the Russian government, and would constitute a kind of jurisprudence in favor of any aggressor, to the detriment of world peace.
The return of Crimea to Ukraine and its future protection against forced military conquests is not to be considered as a bargaining chip with a terrorist, but a decision of international justice , and should therefore not be negotiable once taken.
Mr. Putin's personal feelings are internal Russian affairs and should be settled by Russia alone. However, moved and in solidarity, the other nations remain of course free to offer Russia psychological or psychiatric services if needed to get through this crisis.

0:46 Wagner presented itself in Central Africa as a non-colonialist defender of the people against enemies, for example muslim tribes or anti-colonialists rebels previously armed by the USSR against old and dying European empires. It was a political tool used by В.В.Пу́тин to reduce the influence of France in Africa. Wagner so became trusted as savior and defender of some communities, although they committed some crimes and took advantage of local mineral ressources similarly to previous colonizers.
Their criminal past in Europe is vastly ignored in Africa, where only a few realize what Russia is doing at its border an in the world, and how a full war between heavily industrialized countries differ from an armed conflict between tribes. African worshipers of Wagner would be horrified and probably shocked for life if something like the war in Chechnya or Ukraine happened in their towns, even those who have seen combat and death. It's a totally different scale. For now, for them, all what is said about those remote events is very abstract, probably fake, and doesn't count morally. They simply don't realize what they are talking about because they only feel their own local experience with Wagner . All they see is a strong man with big guns, benevolently (lol, so naive) offering to kill those who want to pillage them, so they trust him and want him to remain their protector, even after death. It's that simple.

Thank you for reminding us of the reality of this madness, despite the pain it causes.
No one to blame in particular: as humans, we have all failed to prevent this tragedy, even those who never knew about him.
We fail every time we lie to children, every time we don't teach them how serious this is, every time we fail to value solidarity, and every time we value terror and blind obedience. It's not just in the last few seconds, but also years or decades before, that everything is at stake, whenever we choose to give children weapons rather than building sets or plants to care for, whenever we choose to praise them for mockeries or fanaticism rather than curiosity and generosity, whenever we vote out of rage and obey out of despair. Then everyones suffers from it, even the least evil and most innocent ones.
Let's take good note and not fail to prevent the next. There are lives beyond mortal illusions. Let's practice illusion piercing even more.

5:30 Since the crackpots in the Kremlin decided to hate them for life anyways, Westerners are finally realizing that the more they wait for the evil to calm down the worse it will become , just like the relation with Hitler.
Blue helmets in Ukraine in 2014, at a time when Putin was still denying that he was behind the killings in Ukraine, would have prevented Putin's plan from the outset and thus saved several hundred thousand lives.
Today, it's terribly late to intervene, but later still would be much worse anyways.
Until now, Westerners naively believed that Russia would eventually choose peace and the respect of its own sayings and treaties out of obvious self-interest. This hope has been systematically destroyed by Russia, especially since 2021-2022. This came as a shock, and all that was improvised at the time were nothing but emergency measures to temporise in order to:
1. Get informed in spite of smoke screens and lies.
2. Understand what's going on and why reason doesn't work in that case, and quadruple-check it.
3. Accept (which is the hardest and takes the longest) what is happening and what it implies if we let it happen.
Now that Europe has woken up, mourned its sweet dreams of automatic peace by operation of universal reason, mourned the hope that the situation would resolve itself, and consulted all its members, it is slowly but surely beginning to warm up to the idea of actively solving the problem once and for all by its own means, including the most brutal methods if necessary, before it gets any worse.
Europeans simply refuse the domination of any new empire on the continent, simply refuse to be turned into enemies of the Russian people by some silly neo-Czar, and refuse to live under constant menace.
Debates and patience are nearly over. Fed up is fed up. Even if, from the outside, it looks like nothing has changed yet, minds are massively synchronizing around the idea of getting rid of the mafia jerks.
We are on the eve of a breaking point.
