  20. 1:25 This is not what I heard from the experts The opinion was that the Ukrainians would fight bravely, but would be defeated in many places by the supposedly more organized and much better equipped Russian war machine. I think that the experts believed : - that the Russian military equipment was ready and improved according to the official announcements and propaganda. - that all Russian troops would be well trained and equipped, not only the elite troops. - that all forces participating in this Russian operation would be given clear objectives and doctrines, that they would know what they are doing in Ukraine, would not be surprised, and that they would have high morale. I suppose these experts believed this because their training prevents them from imagining preparing and launching a military operation otherwise. According to them, if Russia attacked, it necessarily implied that it was actually ready to attack, seriously. The surprise that Russia was not really ready for the operation it was conducting was immense; a real shock. It seemed too nut to be true. The experts probably also underestimated the expertise and training of the best Ukrainian troops. But not their morale. In any case the intense resistance efforts of the Ukrainians were expected, even in case of loss of the central command, as their interest in anti-vehicle defensive weapons was noticed the year before. The kind of weapons that do not allow to assault enemy positions at all, but are perfect for ambushes against invaders. So they had already perceived the danger and were already mentally prepared to resist if necessary. And it is quite consistent with their political choices of the previous years. It was quite obvious that, for them, the invasion started in 2014 and they were already opposed to it.

  24. 15:00 These debates are lunar. One really have to be out of his mind to go looking for such irrelevant arguments. There is no point in debating the past existence of Ukraine in the current situation. Even if we could manage, by feats of intellectual contortion, to prove that everything Ukrainian is Russian, it remains undeniable that today millions of people, the vast majority of the inhabitants of a large country, want today Ukraine to exist today and to be independent from Russia *today*, and this is in no way a threat for the Russians. If in doubt, instead of bringing clowns on a TV set, just ask them. Even assuming that every Ukrainian is Russian, the vast majority of them still do not want to be part of Russia and want to have their own state. Well, that is their right ! The right to political self-determination is a human right, and the tendency of human beings to fight for their human rights is ignored only by the worst fools. And even if the will and the rights of the people who call themselves Ukrainians were to be debated, one would have to be seriously mentally ill to imagine that they would suddenly want to call themselves Russian by being harmed by those who call themselves Russian. This whole circus is therefore vain from a philosophical, cognitive and even operational point of view. Soon, these serious nutjobs will have to explain how it is possible for something that doesn't exist to defend itself, and why it is so important to fight at the risk of one's life for the destruction of what doesn't exist. Ask the doctors: this is the manifestation of a serious psychiatric disorder.

  35. 12:00 @JakeBroe, Let me translate french for you 卢沙野, ambassador of China in France, talking on LCI TV: "These countries, ex-Soviet Union, they do not have... they do not have hum… how to say… an effective status in international law." French television reports the following reactions: - The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs publish: "We have learned with dismay about the words of the Chinese ambassador in France concerning the borders of the countries that became independent after the fall of the Soviet Union." - Edgars Rinkēvičs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, says: "The remarks of the Chinese ambassador in France concerning international law and the sovereignty of nations are totally unacceptable. We expect explanations from the Chinese side and a complete retraction of this statement." - Gabrielius Landsbergis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania: "If anyone is still wondering why the Baltic States do not trust China to negotiate peace in Ukraine, here is a Chinese ambassador saying that Crimea is Russian and that the borders of our countries have no legal basis." - French Ministry of Foreign Affairs declare solidarity with the ex-USSR countries and remind that the annexion of Crimea by Russia in 2014 is illegal with regard to international law. - Several people and associations are asking 卢沙野 to retract his statement. My personal point of view: Clearly, 卢沙野 was not comfortable with the pronunciation of this sentence. However, it is not clear whether he was concerned with the predictable reactions or was struggling with french vocabulary. Listening to this sentence alone, one can think that he meant that the rights of these countries are not fully enforced at the moment (and this is true since Russia does not respect them), without any clue about intentions regarding these rights (whether they should be respected or not according to China). In context, however, various statements by diplomats, as well as murders on foreign soil and in international waters and effective annexations of foreign territory (undeclared acts of war), make it very clear that China has no regard for international rights or human rights except when they can benefit its government or reputation.

  41. Note 1: I'm not just talking about cleaning (for hygiene reasons) and tidying (for logistical efficiency reasons), which one would imagine are neglected in cases of discouragement, deep fatigue, intense stress, lack of resources, lack of training, lack of preparation, or lack of supervision. I'm also talking about the design choices, the "decorative arts" and the degradation that we see in some occupied homes and buildings. The filthy inscriptions on the doors or walls, the excrement in surprising places, the open bottles of alcohol, the broken furniture, etc... It seems to me that this is not just negligence or failing, but the expression of a self-destructive tendency. Not having the courage to clean up, or the loss of faith in the strict rules whose reasons have remained obscure, or the reality of war, so be it! I definitely understand it can happen. What I don't understand is what seems to me to be an extra effort to break or mess up places unnecessarily. Especially if "we're here forever". I myself am extremely messy and careless, so tolerate clutter, but I'm not trying to intoxicate myself or make my surroundings uglier and less convenient. That would finish me even without enemies. Note 2: Thanks to anyone adding more original point of views. It's nice to have veterans' point of view, as I have absolutely no experience of this. Historical points are also very valuable. But don't be ashamed to give civilian and novice points of view too, especially from many diverses places in the world, because I find the lores and common beliefs around that as interesting as the historical facts. It helps me understand better what people stand for or hide from.

  88. 11:17 Thanks to this very concrete little experiment, Cuba is only now (*FINALLY!*) beginning to understand the true nature of its "friend" on the other side of the world. No, Russia isn't automatically good because it was against the USA when the USA was bad to Cuba. And people don't "hate Russia" just out of stupidity and submission to some mysterious US influence. All emperors of all empires are damn dangerous and tend to use their "friends" as expendable peons. True communism is definitely not "communism", the current Russian mafia-government is not the good people of Russia, and freedom and democracy can be extremely more than just a sort of evil US brand or an excuse in wars, for people who genuinely care. Please, whoever can, bring them back alive from there. Feel free to ask me for translations from English to Spanish or vice versa if you need. What the Russian officials are doing is terrible, telling people that the new place will be better is what the Nazis told the Jews in the extermination camps to prevent them from rebelling. Now, if they don't understand Russian well, they won't be able to understand the conditions for surrender that Ukraine is broadcasting, they won't be able to surrender in good conditions to survive, they won't be able to defend their rights in Russia. They are young, they have a whole life ahead of them to learn what this terrible world is made of and to try to make it better. Please, whoever can, get them out of here. I suspect someone is protecting them somehow, repeating tests instead of sending them to their death like the others. Solidarity must grow.

  131.  @georgiy7882  Actually, most Europeans care about Ukraine not only because Russia is killing people there at a rate never seen since WWII, but because they see Russia taking the infamous authoritarian path. They've seen this kind of scheme in their history books (Alexander, Julius, Attila, Carolus, Genkis, Napoleon, Hitler, Staline, etc.), and already know how it goes and how it ends. - Transnistria: they barely gave a shit. - Chechnya: they woke up in horror but though it was an isolated event. - Georgia: they turned extremely suspicious and decided to enter prevention mode. - Ukraine: they decided this was the last chance for Putin to prove suspicions wrong, to prove that he genuinely cared about people more than himself. Now that no doubt remains as to the nature of the character, the socio-economic machine to rid Europe of the last dictator is on. It is heating up, slowly but surely. More than 450 million people are contributing to it, in their own way. Europeans are also concerned because the Russian government supports ideologues who explicitly state that their countries are the next enemies to attack after Ukraine. It is not as if they can ignore an explicit threat. Don't be surprise people care when their names are called. You are right about something that hasn't changed for millennia: Europeans don't believe it until they have no choice. They don't do much prevention. European didn't gave a shit about Austria, barely cared about the Czech Republic (despite the admitted feeling of having made a mistake), and needed the invasion of Poland to wake up, very late. And even then, they waited to see if it was magically over. It wasn't, of course. But they are learning. Their response time to attempts at imperial domination is getting shorter and shorter. They are already much quicker to react than before the Roman Empire. Where you are totally wrong is about European being ok with crimes done by US government. Maybe you weren't in Europe when G.W.Bush was considered the man to kill, to see it. The limitation of his mandate in time and the separation of powers in the USA saved the relationship between the USA and Europe. Otherwise, if he had become a permanent dictator in the USA, and if he had started to conquer lands, it is sure that Europe would be at war, at least cold or economic, with the USA, if not worse (hot war, nuclear war, etc). He knew how to make himself hated, but was limited by US citizen. This is the advantage of democratic regimes: it doesn't eliminate the evil at all, but it limits it. A difference between Ukraine and several countries where the USA went to kill people and commit crimes (not as many kills per year as Russia in Ukraine nowadays, but still. It's not a competition anyway), is that Ukrainians don't spit on the face of European tourists, investors, good dealers or weapon dealers, and they send more students in European universities too. I know it's never easy to be friend with everybody, but that's were diplomatic relations and cultural exchanges counts.

  155. I would like to remind all of us that the point of supporting Ukraine is not to stop one Russian military conquest for now, waiting for the next one. Every day until liberation, there are many people suffering from the military occupation of Ukraine by Russian forces , waiting to be liberated from it. - People in the occupied territories who are tortured because of their political opinions or origin, who are forced to lie publicly to stay alive or to protect their family. - People deported from this country to an unknown fate. - People forced to attack other Ukrainians to death, used as cannon fodder to serve the Kremlin's exclusive interests, not their own. - Children taken to Russia to be re-educated into Ukrainian-haters and future Ukrainian-killers in the name of Putin. - People in exile waiting to be free to return home to their families (if they survived) without risking the same or worse. Even when the front line doesn't move much, a genocide is underway and the clock is ticking. The Russian people will never truly understand revenge that comes too late. They will only learn from an immediate defeat of their current plans and misdeeds, from a clear and direct re-connection between their suffering and the idea of making other people suffer. What they need is not an education in hatred and fear for retribution. They already know hatred and fear too well. What they need is an education in empathy: your suffering right now is my suffering right now; my suffering right now is also yours. And since they don't seem to care about their lives at all, the only bad news they consider at the moment, the only thing they consider painful, until they wake up to reality, is territorial loss, and the destruction of the myth of their "divine" invincibility and "wisdom". Only when this myth is over will we see something like responsibility entering their equations.

  168. 23:41 From what I have learned from the history (France and Spain mainly, but not only), national revolutions come only after centuries of local revolts, often cruelly suppressed. And even after the revolutions, several despotic hijackings, counter-revolutions and various betrayals prolonged the struggle, with bloody civil wars, evolving towards more democracy and more freedom over the centuries, but with horrible temporary reversals along the way. It is extremely difficult to overcome fear, especially when one does not know exactly what the beast to fight is capable of. The difference, perhaps, today is that nations are no longer so alone against their respective despots, and that history is relatively easy for everyone to access, provided they are interested. - There is a philosopher who explains why the Russians are not really a nation, because they have renounced the political exercise. But they could be. It's something in their national nightmare, not their blood. One has to start somewhere. - Another difference is that, in the case of France in particular, the anti-monarchical and anti-clerical revolution (which is quite a feat for a country with the king "of divine right") was a shock for all of Europe, which was so Catholic and so attached to its monarchies that they could not understand that madness. The revolution of this country has structurally made it go to war against all the monarchies of the world, in other words almost the whole world. And frankly, I still don't understand how the France survived it. So, I understand that people are looking for other ways to look for more individual freedom. But for all those who want that, this is no longer a first time or a declaration of war to the whole world. On the contrary! We now know better the risks and we know that a better tomorrow is actually possible. There are proofs of concept and a state of the art of revolutions with their successes and failures, all in open source. What is not documented is how to adapt this fight to a guy who seems to have nuclear toys at hand, and how to do it in a context of global fossil fuel depletion.

  239. 16:30 Yes @JakeBroe, I can summarize it for you, *even though I'm not a US citizen*, or perhaps precisely because I'm not a US citizen so I feel free to judge the USA without feeling guilty of treason. First, I will give you a reminder of the process, then note how the US case flavors it. The process: 1. *No regime is perfect, no people are perfect. The U.S. has real flaws, faults and guilts, just like any other nation. 2. Democracy implies *freedom of speech*, so we can talk about those flaws and work together to correct them. What people tend to forget is that with freedom comes responsibility. Not everyone accepts full responsibility. 3. This great freedom leaves plenty of room for cult gurus (religious leaders, political leaders, corporations, etc...) to forge unverifiable silly ideas in order to gain influence over easy believers: they create a virtual problem, fuel the fear, and then get rewards, get paid by presenting themselves or their brand as the only solution. This constantly challenges the known, which is both good and bad. It's good for the most intelligent and wealthy people who have time to think, because it's an incentive to check and understand even better what is known. It's a deadly mental trap for not-so-intelligent people and those who don't have time, because it gives them easy pre-conceived ideas and discourages real investigation. Notable by-products of all this are injustices, more frustration than necessary, and a whole lot of superstitions. 4. Would-be tyrants, even foreign ones, can then exploit these superstitions. They can stir up anger in oppositions to create turmoil and destabilize competing nations from within. They can also tailor their narrative to pre-existing trends in order to draw the believers of other gurus to their cause. Think of it as an international belief market where people place their bets and withdraw informal social credit. The state of this belief market is quite divorced from reality for the same reason that the trading market is divorced from reality most of the time. (I could explain how this divorce happen if needed. It's simple math with derivatives). Power-hungry individuals use their leverage on such market to move the crowd in their favor. The USA case: 1. Democratic or not, the USA has a bloody history since colonization. Slavery did a lot of damage to relations between communities (the fact that US citizens to talk about "races" is nut). The CIA has done shady, dirty things. G.W.Bush was rightly seen as a butcher in Iraq, Afghanistan is also a thing too, etc. 2. This led to natural questions, debates, political oppositions, expressions of real frustrations. 3. People came up with a lot of explanations and justifications, including a bunch of fictions made to please, seduce the people in need of answers. Dishonest explanations were given to protect or value existing communities, then new communities emerged from incoming lost people in need for a family. Each author tried to convince that his explanation was the best because it sells. Some of them managed to capitalize on a lot of nonsense, mainly mixing reinterpreted Christian lore (the main religion of colonization), a lot of xenophobia (a classic that always works), and *extreme conspiracy theories*, which are perfect for pointing out arbitrary enemies at will, either to increase fears or to destroy competitors. More specific to the US is the anti-woke narrative, which could only exist with a serious woke phenomenon. They would attack the hippies instead, otherwise they would only get the mysogynist vote, but the woke are an easier target because of their own insanity. And of course the very peculiar relationship with guns. The gun industry has pushed the narrative that US citizens have the right to kill in self-defense so far that it can now be used to sell Republicans as brave warriors and revolutionaries (and not just immature drunken punks), even though they are extremely conservative. As you can see, they are picking from any rack, reaping what other sects have sown, regardless of the origin, as long as it sells. 4. At this point it's very simple: both an opposition and the ex-USSR wanting more power repeat that the current US government is very bad and that they can offer better, so both are tempted to fuel their power with the other's narrative, so much that they merge. "Qui se ressemble s'assemble", as we say around here. In the end, the why of the why is always the same: people are afraid of many things (death, suffering, loneliness, the unknown, etc...), and that gives power to people who are able to convince them that they can somehow save them. The less they explain how they're going to save, the more people think it's too difficult for them, the more they give up and just hope that their leader will solve their problems for them. The more they delegate politics, the less they solve anything, the bigger the real problems and the more dependent they end up. People like D.Trump, E.Musk or В.В.Пу́тин can't produce. They are very incompetent in creation. So they live by parasitism. They gain power by leveraging and monopolizing values in the belief market, and it works well for them. В.В.Пу́тин is richer so he should operate the fusion, including the US branch. Remember: it's not what they say, it's what we hope to hear. It's all based on OUR fears. No fear, no power in their hands.

  253. 29:33 As a European, I feel obliged to answer this question, even if it's addressed to Jake. Yes, I think a coalition of the most armed European countries could defeat Russia on a strictly military level and in the short term, without US support. The risk would be immense that it could be a disaster on other less-military levels (demographic, social, economic…), and depending on the twists and turns it could be dangerous for the USA too. But yes, it's still technically possible. What's more, there will be no other choice if Ukraine capitulates and the Putin Gang moves into Central Europe with the permanent intention of dictating its law to the whole of Eurasia, if not the whole world, and continues its conquest. In that case, European countries will take steps to arrest or assassinate Russian leaders until Russia produces only leaders who respect others, because it will have become a question of survival for them too , just as it is today for the Ukrainians. The problem is the same for all countries in the world. Only Some countries are first on Putin's list and some are far, some are well eqquiped and other aren't. But the relation to evil is the same. The threat is global. And in the case V.V.Putin is not defeated soon enough, there will be a spiritual successor to him to continue the conquest, using Putin's youth as zealots. There's a limitless expansionist mafia to destroy in Russia, the sooner the better, and all the time we're wondering who's going to pay for its destruction (the Ukrainians? the Russians ? The Chinese ? The US Citizens ? the Poles ? etc…), this maffia is getting more powerful, more disrespectful and more extreme in cruelty. It gets worse every day. The more the countries of the world share the effort to overcome this evil soon, the lower the global bill. The longer everyone waits, hoping that others will pay the bill, the higher the bill, until eventually nobody can pay and we are all screwed. Worldwide Solidarity or Putin&Co's Reign: make your choice. No choice means Putin&Co's Reign by default. Maybe some of the readers here live in places where Duty of Rescue is implemented as a law, or maybe as a moral deed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duty_to_rescue Well… think of what it means if it doesn't exist between countries.

  294. 6:16 @Jake Broe, please take me seriously when I say that it is extremely damaging to all humanity to say "Moscow" or "Russia" instead of "The Kremlin" or "Vladimir Putin and his gang". Russia, in other words the Russians, do not dream of slaughtering people to compete with the USA. The people of Moscow do not want that. If you hear so many lies from the Russian government, it's precisely because only a few individuals actually want that. They have to lie to the vast majority to convince them to do the worst. They have to lie to us to make us react like if it was cold war and about the stability of a bipolar world and not a matter of human rights, liberty for humans on this planet, and dignity. Every time you say "Russia" instead of "Putin", you help him to lie and deceive, you help him to get more blood and sacrifices for his plans. And people are very dumb if they think Putin or the like would be satisfied with "one pole among two" only. This kind of mafia never put limits to itself, and would use Africa, Australia, Europe, and even China to rule over the whole world including the USA if they could, by any mean. Nothing to do with them being Russian and all to do with that specific gang being true motherfuckers. Please be careful. The worst is in the details. Don't inadvertently help them by using their misleading expressions. Russia and Moscow are not the real enemy. They are an indispensable key to defeating the real enemy hidden within. *Not only Ukraine, but also Russia must be helped to defeat its mafia*, before it gangrenes the whole earth by feeding on our mediocrity.

  326. 17:26 We're talking about Taurus and ATACMS , but what Ukraine actually needs is anti-artillery systems. - TAURUS KEPD 350 will do a similar job as SCALP-EG or Storm Shadow missiles. Not a specifically anti-artillery role. - because of their ballistic trajectory, ATACMS might not even pass the Russian air defense when striking far behind the front lines. It could make big holes in the Russian anti-tank trenches for sure, though, which is good during a surprise attack. But talking about artillery (the real problem) who needs more than about 8kg of guided explosives to disable a 152mm gun ? We need to provide Ukraine with much more strategical hardware, not just anything because it's big, impressive, and look good on TV, or because we don't know what to do with it. Many more 155mm mobile howitzers with a range of 35 km or more, with twice the number of guided munitions than Russia has artillery, and more reliable systems for detecting enemy artillery , would certainly (and paradoxically) save more lives , not only in Ukrainian forces, but also in Russia, by destroying what kills most , making the whole Russian infantry in Ukraine useless , ending this war quickly, before the nature of the war changes again , and before kidnapped children and the next generation of Russians are turned into fanatical Putinist soldiers. The 155mm shells may be less photogenic than the big missiles on TV, but I remind you that Russia has absolutely NOTHING to stop a 155mm shell in flight, that there are specific "clever" types of 155mm shells for each possible kind of target, and that for years nothing has killed more Ukrainians than Russia's 152mm artillery and their small-diameter rocket launchers. So… talking about saving lives, care about what to aim at, and how. And if you really really very badly want to use bunker-busting cruise missiles because that's your obsession and your absolute dream, then Vladimir Putin's bedroom during resting hours is definetely the place to hit. This is what such weapons are meant for. Don't forget that he is the only fucking excuse everyone else has come up with to justify continuing to beat the shit out of each other.

  341. 3:26 I've been served this nonsense too. I don't know how many sleepless nights the desperate pro-Russian trolls have been cogitating to come up with such a phantasmal argument. They say they don't care about being massacred in Ukraine because the real matter is Russia going on strike and not working for Europe anymore. In that case, it is enough to point out that if Russia can destroy Europe simply by cutting off the gas, and is willing to, and that this is the real ultimate goal behind all of this military operation, then Russia does not in fact need to invade Ukraine at all, actually, nor wait for Ukrainians to kill more Russian soldiers using western weapons there: It can simply do it, cut off the gas, keep its soldiers safe and comfy, and so force us all to see how smart it is for Russia to break contract with its one and only customer in the world. Imagine that Russia brings down Europe. Then what? Will 146 million Russians, including babies and babushkas, invade 448 million Europeans? Okay, okay, let's imagine they actually invade Europe and manage to keep the Europeans under control at 1 versus 4 (because they can't all come here unless they leave Russia completely empty, duh). So let say they almost all move and come here and we don't stop them. Hello. What's next? What are they going to do with all this alien land, with dozens and dozens of different alien languages they never learned (several per country), with dozens of alien climates and ecosystems they never trained to deal with, and the colonies overseas, etc...? And now what? I bet that if they really invade Europe, Europe will not become Russian, but on the contrary the Russian invaders will turn into Europeans, as all the other previous invaders did before, because that's the only way to survive here. And if they don't invade Europe, who cares what they do? There is no way for them to control what Europeans do without being on the European land. The only very unpleasant thing they can do to Europe is to attack it physically. And in that case, the winter will not only be "gas-free" but "nuclear", and all major Russian cities will end up in ashes. Even killing all the European leaders in a quick surprise attack and disabling the communication satellites can't prevent nuclear retaliation from various directions. Well, big deal ! What an achievement for Russia. golfclap Now that we clearly see what this is all about, let's agree that there is no such grandiose plan in the great universal scheme worked out by inconceivably superior mentals.

  417.  @mariastejereanu  They were under Russian bombs and Russian shelling, in cold. They have real biological parents waiting for them in their country, asking were they are since month and getting no answer from the Russian authorities. Even in the cases their parent have been killed by the Russian forces during the invasion or Ukraine, those children must be returned to the nearest family and state they belong as soon as possible. Of course they can and must be saved from misery by anyone nearby, even killers or invaders if nobody else survived around, but nobody has any right to adopt them without due authorisation. No authorisation of adoption and deportation have never been given by the rightful authorities. If Russia want Ukrainian children to live in security with their families, it's enough not to attack Ukraine and let Ukrainians live in peace in their homeland, which is also by far the best social, economical and strategic solution for Russia. Rules are designed to protect people including children, not to mess with Russia. The Russian government could simply respect them, starting with the rules it have signed on paper, and also respect real people, and everything should be all right. You'd be glad to realize that the very exact same rules protect the Russian children from rapt by citizens of countries just the same. I'm very sure that is I took poor Russian children to live with me in Europe because I consider life in Russia isn't good enough for them, and then refused to give them back to their parents, I'd be charged by the international court just the same, and you'd call that justice, not "double standard" like it is written in the propaganda script to be synchronised between propagandists. .

  419. This about women protesting is part of a revolutionary scheme already seen in several occasions, but only people who know Russia can tell me if it applies here. It goes like that: 1) The government asks the men to do something dangerous, telling them it is to defend their homeland and by extension their families. 2) The men don't protest much and obey, hide, or flee to avoid the most fearsome confrontation. 3) The women and children, until now spared by the government as a bargaining chip to convince the men to obey, protest against the government to get their men back alive. 4) The government represses the women and children, putting them in danger as well. 5) The men then realize that their obedience will not save their women and children, so they too turn against the government. 6) The government is defeated by the people. But because it was defeated out of anger and love for each person's immediate family, without any political plan, opportunists become the new governors. I suppose most Russians can do this math in their head, don't hope for a better government after a revolution and want to skip all the trouble. Also I suppose Putin knows how to not look too mean with the loved ones in russia ("partial" mobilisation: almost like "sweet" mobilisation, isn't it ?). But there is a wall a the end of this fool's game: the absolute resolve of other nations to never give up their own freedom. The path to being a monster abroad without being a monster to the nation is becoming increasingly narrow. Tomorrow or in several centuries, the end of the road is bound to come at some point.

  445. 3:15 We have a possibly deadly issue with the way we communicate. I have no trust issue with this guy. I've heard enough from pro-Putin and anti-Putin Russians themselves, and from witnesses of various backgrounds, and I've studied History and human nature enough, to have no doubts that horrors are happening in the occupied territories right now, and that the more we take our time, the worse it will get. I don't want to stop him from crying in public if he needs to. That said, we have a big social and communication problem to solve urgently here: what he's doing with this video, communicating emotions without presenting evidence of what causes them , can be imitated by any fucking paid propagandist , and too many people aren't educated or smart enough to tell the difference. - Teaching people how to spot liars takes decades. It will be too late. - Simply doing more than the adversarial propaganda will only make us look even more like propaganda , if not actually turning ourselves into propagandists in the worst case scenario. So, as cruel and hurtful and dark it may seem at first, if we want to work with reality and bring more people in reality to make that reality better, we MUST throw raw, unfiltered evidence of what is happening to the face of the audience. It's a duty. If, like YouTube , we remain afraid that showing the truth without filter might hurt our puny business, that it might reduce our personal income, then shame on us for being despicable assholes who are okay with hiding crimes, okay with helping liars, torturers and murderers, and letting other people suffer more so that we enjoy a little more psychological comfort and wealth for now. Shame on us for claiming that the point is to "protect" the audience when all we do is protecting investors' bank accounts and the worst evildoers! Truth isn't comfy , but it's our duty to face it so we can at least know the real world we live in and build a better future. Refusing to face crimes as they are only makes them come to us sooner. And if we "in the West" react only to displays of emotions without access to the facts, without reason, then it means that we are as vulnerable to В.В.Пу́тин's gang than any drunk Z-ist , as mentally vulnerable and potentially criminal as any Taliban, extremist Zionist, political fanatic and other hallucinated religious zealots, and thus share the same fate. Let's be better than that. Let's face and share reality in full resolution. Don't pretend anymore that we couldn't know in time.

  464. 13:50 To be absolutely convinced is the prerogative of absolute fools. Poland is much better known around the world than Ukraine. Cultural exchanges are intense, the Polish diaspora is not negligible and most influent countries have invested in Poland recently. Poland is a member of numerous international organizations. Unlike many other countries, Poland has no enemy on which Russia could be relied upon to justify such aggression. Poland would once again be seen as a victim, except this time Germany would not share responsibility with Russia for the crimes against the Poles. Beside, the use of nuke for genocide rather than deterrent is probably the biggest taboo in the world. The anti-Kremlin reaction to this would be global , not from the USA only, and it will be both instinctive and pragmatic. This would displease the governments of Iran, North Korea, China, Cuba, and a host of other leaders on every continent who have based their political narratives on hatred of the USA and can't easily explain why Russia has finally become so much worse. - Iran would fear that this would be used as a pretext to attack it, knowing it can't defend itself. - It would ruin North Korea's international seduction plan, which will certainly not be forgotten. - China would try harder to avoid being perceived as a potential ally of Russia to avoid an economic meltdown or an actual world war on its territory, would be even tougher on trade, and might even form alliances with European Nation who are their best customers, and Southern nations who control trade routes out of Russia. On the military plane, this would start a worldwide seek and destroy hunt for any sort of nuclear launcher belonging to Russia, as well as a hunt for the individuals responsible of this crime. Not even talking of the risk of an immediate nuclear response on the territory of Russia as В.В.Пу́тин don't pick up the phone during the attack or refuses to cancel it. If they survive, the members of the Russian government would then have to explain to the citizens why so much cataclysmic destructions on their own territory, why they could not prevent it, no longer knowing exactly which nation is performing strikes on Russia. In short, if Russia were to carry out such an attack, Russia would have as many problems as countries in the world, while each of those countries would have only one urgent international problem to "solve": Russia. Although their solutions to this new problem would be very heterogeneous, none of them will be flowers and kisses. No one doubts that Russia can be mean and cruel and dangerous etc. That is not the problem. Russia's problem is it cannot afford the consequences.

  481. 14:04 And this is where you are a complete moron , or more likely a pure liar an asshole , Sir Orbán. It's not that the European nations can't destroy the Moscovian war machine all by themselves if necessary. It's just that they don't want to make the effort and terrible sacrifices necessary to do so and are still hoping that the Ukrainian resistance and multi-continental deterrence will be enough. But if, as you dream, the USA stops deterring Moscovia, and Moscovia is so deluded by such a brief political victory that it starts to believes that the Europeans won't defend themselves, then Moscovia will continue to attack more and more nations , with the goal of at least restoring the empire as В.В.Пу́тин promised to his fan club (if not more, because why not when respect for others is no longer a thing). The obvious direct consequence of fewer restrictions on Moscovia's hostile policies will, of course, be more aggression from it and more wars , until a European coalition finally decides to decapitate the Moscovian Federation to solve the problem at its source. This will inevitably happen unless Moscovia learns to GENUINELY respect others by other means: reason, basic intelligence, mathematics pragmatically applied to survival, survival instinct, spiritual maturity including universality, inspiration from God, or a cure against sadism and masochism, a sane political evolution without mass corruption, whatever… all of which that Moscovia dangerously lacks by now, just like other similarly stupid nation lacked before they turned better with great pain or have been erased. The human species simply can't keep feeding bullies they sometimes decide to blindly worship. They are too expansive. This does not depend on the USA. The non-participation of the United States of North America can only change the time needed and the amount of waste, pain and suffering before we finally get rid of the plague, but doesn't change the end.

  485. 7:07 Well, what a shame!!! (see moral implication below) This is much worse than being taken down by a brave enemy! No, "friendly" fire isn't friendly and isn't normal at all in a serious army! Such a high level of incompetence would mean completely random outcomes in every mission, or hopeless suicide. Nothing to be proud of. Russian officials are so desperate to make Ukraine and allies look decadent in spite of facts that they now can't even recognize the real competences of their own troops. Imagine how insulted competent troops feel when they hear that from the government, and the real impact on their morale. That's pathetic. Now, let's talk about what it means for officials to have to make the enemy look feeble allegedly in order to preserve the moral of the troops: * The motivation of the troop is sin! To continue to attack someone because you think you are beating an easy victim is SADISM by definition. To not want to fight difficult fights and to want only easy and secure fights in spite of moral incentives to take risks is COWARDICE by definition. So much for "Russian higher moral values"… * This discards the official incentive of saving population in the Donbass: If people in the Donbass were difficult to save, they would not save them? * This discards the official incentive of fighting nazis in Kiev: If Nazis weren't weak, Russian would not fight them? * This discards the official incentive of defending the motherland: If the motherland was attacked by a powerful enemy, they would not defend it? Well, so much for "Russian" values! The Russian propaganda is negating itself.

Be careful what you ask for. Europe today isn't just some magic place to get quite recognized diplomas. Living there is very demanding. Realize what you're risking. It's quite possible that you'll meet people there who won't like you very much just because they think you don't care enough about other people. Judeo-Christian culture sometimes requires enormous efforts to adapt, and leaves its mark.😈😜 And I'm not even talking about the twisted humor they have by there.

  527. 7:10 "Do not accept gift from gods !" says ancient greek wisdom. For a reason. reference: Paris accepting a present from Aphrodite ---> Trojan War. The rivalry was between goddesses, not between humans. There was no good choice. All had to be refused. Preferring any one of them would have resulted in equal destruction. 김정은 was quietly running his private little dictatorial enterprise, with the country tightly sealed off from the rest of the world except for a few very carefully selected and trained individuals. But if Russia unwillingly makes him an official supporter of an effective holy war against the United States, he will no longer be able to maintain the status quo and the wall between North Korea and the rest of the world. It could very likely kill him. The last thing he would want to deal with would be a non-rhetorical conflict, and to be seen as a mere servant of Russia instead of a divine supreme leader. The domestic political consequences would be disastrous for him. Hidden private gifts may be welcome, with no guarantee of return, but public gifts would be the most toxic he would have to accept. Poor 김 ! What did he do to deserve that ? 😆He isn't that stupid. And if he is, his sister will not. Count on their survival instinct. Talibans are now very happy to be free from both GIs and Russian troops. They are trying without much success to present themselves as a respectable nation and try to re-establish diplomatic relations so they can finally trade and recover from years of war. All they don't need now is Russia pushing them again to re-play and re-fight all of this over again. And do you remember what happened after the USA has given training and weapons to talibans and then abandoned them ? Yeah… September 11th. Want civilian planes falling on the Kremlin some day, or bombing in Moscow's and St Petersburg's subway ? That's quite a plan. Ask the inhabitants of those cities first, maybe. And if you don't care about the Russin people, ask Putin if he wants this kind of enemy on top of all the others he has already made in such a short time. Poor talibans ! Aren't they desperate enough already ? 😢They aren't that stupid. Expect them to see you coming. Do you know the difference between Ukraine accepting weapons from anybody but Russia and North Korea or Afghanistan accepting weapons from Russia: - Ukraine is asking. for a reason: they are under attack right now. - Nobody is attacking North Korea or Afghanistan. Dear putinists and imperialists, you'd better give your "allies" some freedom before you lose them just like you have lost Ukraine. Humans are the kind of beasts that tend to bite anyone who tries to put a collar around their neck, and they are simply too many for you to tame.

Russian propaganda is so effective that many Russians are genuinely surprised that they are not tortured once captured. They are surprised to hear the Ukrainians speak Russian to them. They are surprised to be treated and fed better than in their ranks. They are surprised the Ukrainian save their lives when they are wounded. It's a reality they cannot believe in until they see it. And once they have seen it and want to tell their families about it, it's their turn not to be believed, and they are accused of having given in to blackmail or being brainwashed. The Nazis of the past also offered their enemies to surrender, saying that nothing bad would happen to them, and yet sometimes proceeded to hang them afterwards. On top of that, Putin's propaganda, deliberately full of contradictions, creates a kind of paranoia. Therefore, from the point of view of many Russian fighters, the kind offers from the Ukrainians are not necessarily reassuring. Many actually think they are indeed saving the world, or at least Russia, against terrible barbarians. This war itself is so insane that not believing the propaganda can turn mad of anger. So many are so stressed, under so much fear and pressure, that they prefer to believe anything they are told than take the risk of thinking it through. Ultimately, *fear dictates their behavior*, so they often can't follow your logical reasoning about surrendering, even physically. *Some brain parts are actually turned off by fear*. Chanting, alcool, drugs or despair do the rest. Maybe the only success of Putin in this war is to have almost cancelled the effect of the Internet in his country, to have created a huge and persistent illusion, and to have succeeded in breaking the trust between Russians and Ukrainians despite they have no difficulty to understand each other in normal times. Unless they pay more for a VPN, Russians don't read the same Wikipedia, they never listen to neutral translations of many foreign sources. Imagine what picture they have in mind if you want to predict their behaviour, and don't be surprised they don't surrender, sabotage or revolt that much against pure madness. I have called for less mockery and taunts and more efforts to repair communication lines between Russia and the rest of the world*, using *translations and fun games so more Russians accept to listen something else than national TV and reconnect with the world despite it hurts, but it seems nobody took me seriously. It's a huge task. I'd like not to be alone trying. I know I'm not alone but we aren't united enough trying. Out of anger, many Ukrainians fail to keep talking with their relatives in Russia, too. I still believe this could save much more lives than any weapon, by ruining the old trick Putin&Co uses to divide people and keep so many Russians under control.

  548. 5:36 Don't worry: there is no way for Spain to start a war against Portugal. Not only it's impossible to convince the current Spanish population to conquer land by force, but Spain is now — in spite of its History or maybe because of its History — one of the most democratic country in Europe, with a lot of activism for human rights and against corruption and a lot of international exchanges, so there is no way some militaristic leader stay in charge long enough in Spain to turn as authoritarian as Franco and sacrifice Spain's membership into UN, EU, NATO, etc... and turn all its allies into enemies. The Spanish royal family would certainly oppose such a calamity. The people would very certainly oppose it, too, by all means. There is no more compulsory military service in Spain and most Spanish people have never touched a gun in their life, and just hate real war. The provinces are quite autonomous in Spain, and such an extreme political betrayal at the state level could trigger a new Spanish civil war, to the point that Spain cannot attack any other state without being paralyzed by internal conflicts. Spain has more tanks than Germany mainly because Germany have been demilitarized and then focused in the use of small quantities of very high quality military equipment, while Spain has kept all sort of things, even gifts from the Soviet Union dreaming of using Spain as a military base in western Europe. Trust me, they aren't going to use them, ever, but for military parade or defence as last ressort. Remember that Spain does not have a nuclear deterrent system of its own, and that, although it is a member of NATO, its diplomatic relationship with the United States of North America is more recent and less strong than most western Europe countries. You can therefore consider its armor arsenal as an alternative deterrent system, not so much as a tool of conquest.

  581. 17:58 VITAL TIP FOR YOU: look for the origin of "the great replacement" pseudo-theory, the origin of this expression, and who finances it. Please learn, if not done already, that Russian assets are used so sell the exact same idea in France under the expression "le grand remplacement". Under mafia influence, books are edited, TV time is allocated, to sell this idea in Europe, too. The rise of this ideology is NOT SPECIFIC TO THE USA , at all ! There is no Mexican border in Europe, yet they sell the same shit. Don't believe it's about Mexicans. Don't believe it's about how parties are made in your country, because it is sold more or less same in any sort of political environment and under very different immigration contexts. In all developed country, the plan is the same: destabilize your government and divide the population in order to size power. It is clearly not about your borders and it's not even about current immigration issues. You'll realize if you can listen to various human languages around the globe , and if you track the supports for this xenophobic ideology. It's the result of a planned attack. It's the result of a campaign designed to take control of your institutions using your fears. The people doing this all pretend to work for their respective nations, but they all apply the same international plan , with international financial support , and count on the fact people rarely connect the dots between countries speaking different languages. Anybody bringing "the great replacement" on the table is NOT working for you, is just using you for his plans or the plans of his master. Do you want a master, too? Or do you live to be free? Don't ignore such people, don't put your head in the sand like Russians did. Defeat them politically. Use your imagination and you gut to create alternative policies or end up in a state very similar to the current Russia, Belarus, Iran of North Korea. You're warned. It's serious. If needed, use translators to translate "the great replacement" in as many human languages as you can, then look for it on many foreign medias, and you'll have a better understanding of what I'm talking about.

  619. 13:15 Wrong ! A monopoly IS causing deadly inflation in Russia, as В.В.Пу́тин says. What he doesn't say is it's not the monopoly of egg producers. It's his monopoly, the monopoly of В.В.Пу́тин's gang on everything, that is destroying Russia. Yes, Russia is under international sanctions, but Russia never exported many eggs and Russia doesn't need western technology to run egg farms. Russia doesn't lack resources to produce eggs, unlike electronic components or high quality truck tires, etc. Russia has plenty of land suitable for feeding chickens, has plenty of fossile energy sources to warm the chickens in winter if needed, and all the infrastructure needed to move eggs around its territory. Russia as all the know-how required for that, too. International sanctions are not the cause of food inflation in Russia. What is causing inflation in Russia is the enormous price of maintaining Putin's gang. Not only is В.В.Пу́тин insanely and criminally rich, greedy and expensive, but he is waging a double war (external and internal) that is wasting resources at an insane rate, sacrificing people who could be working in egg production and transportation instead. On В.В.Пу́тин's order, all the resources needed for cheap eggs are used for war, massacre and self-destruction. This alone is not sustainable. And there is nothing that "the West" or any other foreigner can do about it, either for it or against it, as long as the Russians are convinced that they must sabotage and destroy themselves in this way. It's 100% up to them.

  655. 2:34 Alas, we all on this planet established such precedent many many many times. Not just Russia with big parts of Asia and Europe, and more recently with Chechnya , Georgia, etc… The whole land of the USA is made by conquest. Similarly, the whole Russian land is some kind of colony made by conquerors. I have a much clearer philosophy for you, without Historical traps : is Putins' policy what most people want ? Obviously not !  If his policy was something people wanted, there would be no weapons involved and no war , duh. You simply don't make people happy at gunpoint. Putin lost his right to be happy now by doing what he does now to others. so he can go fuck himself, and it's only adequate to work on making sure he doesn't fuck with anyone without consent right now. Those who oppose him know what they want. Those who support him don't: they simply copy-paste their will from his will without any self-esteem or spontaneous thought, they repeat. Those who support him the most aren't even aware of what he does. If you ask them why they have to kill Ukrainians, they don't know, or they invoque crazy nonsense. Blind followers aren't citizens. Citizens are those who can make their opinion, not just get it from above. Well, there is an instantaneous excellent reason to let no political power to one man over thousands of millions , no matter the past and the futures. People suffer Russian occupation right now. What is happening isn't bad because of the past. It isn't bad because of imaginary futures. It is bad right now for billions, and we have means to make it better for for billions right now , even if it doesn't please those who don't know why they do it and those who perfectly know that they abuse but find convenient to pretend they don't. Russia isn't the issue. The issue is nobody stop the very few who use and abuse Russia for evil, and opponents fight their peons instead of them. Strike at the head ! Destroy this stupid fascination for dangerous individuals. Get rid of the mad frightening shepherd, and let the people face up to their responsibilities once again. You want a "precedent" ? Attack the emperor instead of the imperialist cattle, for once. Million of Russian children dream of this, not to take his place and do worse, but just to breathe.

  666. 2:05 I am shocked that you would look down on them and associate this behavior with their culture. If this bus goes to a training that then leads to a war you don't want to kill and die for, it's not a small argument, but rather a matter of life and death. These people are not necessarily trained soldiers for this kind of situation, so of course they can panic at any time. They also have every reason to be extremely angry at a regime that has lied to them so much and now seems to want to physically eliminate them. In the absence of reliable information, in the absence of trust and given the vital stakes, any human can become extremely violent and jump out of its habits, whether he is Russian or of the same nationality as you. This can be observed in people of any religion, ethnicity and cultural group, in spite of dogmas and different pseudo-pacifist prides. After all, it is only a rationalisation of this instinct shared by all that led to manufacturing weapons and organizing armies. So just because one has been specially trained to behave differently by a military instructor does not mean that one is fundamentally different from people who improvise in a panic. Regardless of broad cultural traits and habits, we all quickly adapt to the only language that other people are willing to take into account, and behave with them in a very different way than we were brought up to. If the only choice you're given to not go out and kill people and get killed is to go to jail, you may quickly think of ways to go to jail, even if it was never in your culture or your calling to do so.

How could they know just what explosions means? The end of a joke, the end of sin. How could they know the places they have been Behind a wall, where Vova had a dream? One plane per day, it wasn't alway so. The army was all right, as long it didn't fight. But all that's left is a place fool and crazy The motherland turned into a vast circus Became a tomb by the whims of him only. When two up, two down. One plane per day, it wasn't always so. The leaders nonetheless, put the blame on U.S. As order came, they doubled the aircrafts, They felt it all at once, how vain was such a draft. How could they know just what explosions means? The end of a joke. The end of a sin. How could they know the places they have been Behind a wall, where Vova had a dream? 726. 10:37 What I notice is that the Ukrainians who demanded independence in 2018 in ДНР and ЛНР are not too likely to wear the "Z" symbol. This is a very Russian-specific movement, and concretely promoted by the Russian government via postings. I haven't seen many "Z" worn by the relatives of the mobilized Russians either. More by people in charge of supervising them. So I suspect that the Russians who wear "Z" symbols are the ones who know the least about the conflict. Despite this guy should knows what a bridge or a children's playground or a bike path is, and despite he was probably told that explosions are dangerous, and despite he probably knows that the death of loved ones can hurt, he doesn't realize that he is celebrating the murder of civilians, children included. From his hallucinatory point of view, all of this must be extremely abstract, remote, like some kind of war between demons and angels at the border of his world. For him, it may be nothing but a number kills to put in front of a number of "victims in Donbass" he imagines without knowing anything about them. He doesn't realize the reality of what is going on. It seems pretty obvious that this guy, like Z-ists activists in general, isn't a victim of such violence himself. He is advocating for something he knows nothing about, by simply mirroring the mood seen in the medias and by instinctive social strategy, without being interested in the content even intellectually. It's not that he enjoys killing people. He probably wouldn't be able to kill them himself. If you ask him, he will probably repeat that killing is bad like in school or in a church. The trick is he can't keep in mind that those very remote Ukrainians also are, indeed, real people. Put him there, on that bridge, right in front of the explosion when it happens, and he might wake up. If he's experiencing the events in real life instead of watching them like a film on TV, he might say something like, "Hey, that's crazy, that's dangerous, you almost killed me! It could hurt ! It could kill anybody! You can't do that!" Because his own organs would make him feel how undesirable it is instead of letting him listen to flattering nationalistic words. Pay Z-ists a quick tour in reality !

  737. 19:53 Correction: Communism NEVER EXISTED IN RUSSIA as a political regime , only in dreams or in very short experiments. What people hate today and continue to call "communism" in accordance with the propaganda of the Kremlin and its imitators in Asia, has nothing to do with true communism. These regimes weren't and aren't communist. They aren't even failed communism or imperfect regimes evolving to communism. They are complete fakes. They are gangs , sects and cults in disguise. Genuine communism only existed for a few days or weeks in certain cities, in different parts of the planet, before its inhabitants were killed, imprisoned, tortured or simply forced to live by other rules by an overwhelming armed force. For people all over the world to really hate communism, they'd have to know what it is. But they can't, because it's extremely rare and the so-called communists have completely perverted its symbolism, hijacked it for their own exclusive profit like any other sect, and thus historically destroyed it. It's plausible genuine communism require too high spiritual and social skills to make a large human society. It might be too vulnerable to sociopaths by nature, or to new, alien to traditions and misunderstood to be practiced with enough social skill. On a smaller scale, you're probably practicing limited forms of communism in your family or at work without even realizing it, without knowing that it's more authentic communism than that of the soviets, simply by pooling certain goods and practicing trust and solidarity. But if someone tries to sell it to you on a national scale and as a mandatory absolute, chances are it's a scam.
