  3. 20:57 The range depends a lot on the ammunition type. 4km range for sabot ammos fired by tank is normal nowadays. Range isn't the most remarquable feature of the Abrams tank. You can always invent rocket ammunitions that can fly further than that. It' doesn't mean they will be more effective in combat because it depends on many parameters like: - the ability of the tank to identify targets in all conditions at this range. - the ability of the tank to communicate fast enough with other observation or target designation devices and units. - the way the tank can exploit relief to gain a good firing position, or its ability to engage target while moving. - the type of damage this ammunition does - its accuracy - its firing delay - its capability to avoid similar attacks etc, etc, etc…
