17:10 The only thing they need to be as tolerable an empire as the U.S. (until better, of course, because the U.S. is far from the best example to follow) is more democracy. Russia is already a federation: the Russian Federation. Just let it be a democratic federation and you certainly don't need to break it up into geopolitical pieces. And don't say that Russians can't be democratic because they never were. That's nut. They aren't stupid. They perfectly understand what it is and how their country could be so. We were all very undemocratic at one time before we became more so.

Nobody should care anymore about was the russian government sign, says or what it should do. We are alone. Everything should be done without asking this government, because the only answer will get would have one purpose only: make the world loose time and patience in its favor. What remains to be done is not free but not difficult to imagine either: escort the grain with weapons and destroy on the way everything that threatens the life of people who need to eat. Send some of the grain by road via Europe (Odessa is not the only port, and the Black Sea is not the only way out). Pay the extra costs for transportation. And keep disarming the russian government until people can live without threat at home. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's risky. * But it will always be cheaper and less risky than treating Putin&Co as a partner, even for a few minutes. * Having consideration for Putin&Co's point of view is what costs the most now. Their thing is not to lie. Lies only would give informations. No this is worse: It's random smoke and mirrors, random nonsense, pure waste of time as psychological attack. The only thing to do with what the current Russian government is expressing is to quarantine this source.
