A military test against Russia on land is definitely not a military test agains USA on sea. This would only confirm China is expansionist and give the world a lot of intel about it's ways and vulnerabilities.

@EyesonEnforcement911 That's why I say Russia can't split in many independent countries unless the whole world is in turmoil. Only a worldwide even can turn Russia unable to use nuclear fire for both deterrance and unity, now. Note that the end of the nuclear deterrent was the condition for Ukraine's independence, and that Russia decided not to invade Ukraine at the very moment when Ukraine was planning to acquire the nuclear deterrent again. So yes, it's more than just another weight on the scale. That said, what China is good at is conquering enemy lands bit by bit, taking exactly what is not worth a nuclear war, but just enough to be a gain, all by unconventional operations. Its huge army can then be used defensively to prevent Russia from doing the same against China.

@testoftimegaming5219 Nope. Small part of East Russia may be taken by China without immediately escalating to a nuclear war, and may end in negociations or status quo in favor of China, while North Korea would immediately escalate to the worse because it has no other option and would have nothing to lose (no superiority, not international support, no good reputation to preserve). It's quite different even morally, for the individuals, I think, because for historical reasons Koreans may have built some national identity as resistants to chinese invaders, while Russian may see themselve more like colonizers of a few Chinese territories and may consider give some territories back. Unless those territories are too valuable (access to the Atlantic ocean, etc...)

@PresingPhoenixSquadron That of course would happen if China carry out a real conventional attack, like Russia did in Ukraine. In the case China send weapons to rebels in Russia and use its own army only to defend itself on the chineese territory, what would happen ? Would the Russian Federation nuke the Russian Federation ? I don't think so.

Nah... This division of Russia can't happen but under a worlwide collapse of all human civilisations. See how even after the end of the Soviet Union the local mafias could not stand against the rize of a new centralized power, because people ask for protection and Russia really means something to them, even to those who hate Vladimir Putin. Eastern parts of Russia can turn asian again only by trade and cultural soft shift. Any brutal military action would triger the russian national resistance and only make this part if russia even more russian, just like the attack on Ukraine made Ukraine even more Ukrainian.
