4:09 In a similar attack in Paris in 2015, 9 minutes and 18 seconds into the attack, one of the police officers announced on the radio the death of one of the terrorists who had activated a bomb on himself after being shot. In less than 10 minutes, a passing police night patrol responded to the call and entered the concert hall after the terrorists to stop them, knowing that they were only 2 men armed with handguns against at least 3 attackers armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles. Shortly thereafter, several colleagues came to the rescue, preventing two attackers from escaping and turning the attack into a hostage situation. BUT (and this is important) The colleagues who came to the rescue disobeyed orders. They were told not to go in and wait (!) for a more specialized anti-terrorist brigade, and decided to go in anyway. The assault on the terrorists ended about 2 long hours (!) later. Had they been left unopposed for that long, it's very possible they would have killed even more people and perhaps escaped for a while, just as they did in Moscow. Details and individual choices matter.
