@joeduffy3309 exactly, the irish were hiding away waiting for someone else - the english - to do something about the nazis, and the english did indeed fight hitler for another 5 years after dunkirk. I do believe the irish congratulated hitler on his birthday though and commiserated with the germans on his death...

Now to ease you back into reality I suggest you research the battle of britain, the battle of the atlantic, tobruk, el alamain, monte cassino, normany landings ( D Day) and many many more and stop embarrassing yourself by your utterly ignorant claim that the English did not fight in WW2

@joeduffy3309 I never once suggested the British fought WW2 alone or that the UK's allies weren't also in the fight. If you think I did quote me what I said. Typical Irishman so determined to project his anti-British feelings into a debate he reads something that isn't actually there. And then you have the stupidity to suggest I might want to brush up on my reading skills. I don't need to look up the Polish pilots in the RAF or the multi-national nature of the Normany landings - I know all about those things. The point is the British were fighting in every year of the war, after Dunkirk, not hiding, fighting, Not waiting for 'saviours', fighting and dying from bombing raids. Did you really think the British just 'hid' and didn't fight between 1940 and 1944? If you did then learn now - the British were fighting CONTINUALLY in that period - in sea, jungle, desert and the air. Unlike the Irish (with the honourable exception of the individuals who individually chose to fight alongside the British - and were later punished by the cowardly, commiserating, birthday celebrating Irish govt after the war)

@Mahendrarathore-g9j the more foreigners there are in a country, whether doctors or pimps, the more that country loses its identity. Imagine your hometown in India being lets say 80% non-Indian - full of irish and english and arabs and chinese and nigerians. It would have lost most of its identity and I guarantee you most of the indians there would be angry about that. As for irish not being serious, well, maybe, but probably the irish govt just prefers to poach already trained doctors to save them the time and expense of training their own people. And yes if you really are a doctor you are doing important work, but ask yourself if ireland had never imported so many foreigners would ireland even need you as a doctor? Long before foreigners started to come to ireland there were enough irish doctors to care for the native population.

@Mahendrarathore-g9j well, all the best to you, i generally like indians and don't mean to be unkind to you in anyway and respect your knowledge and skills. I just hope that when dublin has gone the way of london, which it will, and is maybe only 25% irish that you don't feel that you were part of that great replacement of culture and identity and ancestry.
