@tokyoarrow I dont think it would be classed as fraud, fraud is using lies for financial gain, eg my son's desperately ill in hospital can you send ten grand. I doubt she did anything like this. She asked for a present, they gave it. She is of course a deeply unpleasant, damaged person.

@danielgomez7236 I've never heard of such a prosecution in the uk and doubt it would be possible, tho it may be different in your jurisdiction or japan of course. To me it would be like prosecuting a man for rape because he told his woman he loved her and wanted to marry her and she went to bed with him on that basis when all he wanted was sex

No matter how much cash I had I would never just buy a woman a 1000 dollar bag! she would have wasted her time with me for sure.

the young lady doesn't want a man who will see her as a housekeeper, but I imagine she will expect him to be a full time salary man with big commute either end. You can't have your cake and eat it.
