  1. Now, why didn't I think of staying at the YVR Fairmont during my stopovers 4 years ago? Well, simple really! I was a guest of Angus (retired trolleybus driver - you remember,eh!?!) in one direction and I stayed at the Windsor Guest House on West 11th the other direction. But, the Fairmont features in a couple of my photos at YVR (one with a skytrain in the foreground). This video gave me great memories of that last trip there. You even had an Air New Zealand plane (and I think that was a TransAt plane in the background) on your view towards Georgia Strait at 02.05. I just about rolled over on my living room floor at your scream of ice pain with the wildlife reaction at 08.11-13. Great Canadian humour! Now this video (parts of it anyway) should feature in Fairmont's own promotion of the venue at International Level with all connected travel agencies and you should get some royalty fee for putting it together. A fantastic way of promoting on the spot venues for those travellers needing a stopover between long flights. Melbourne Airport's Park Royal and Holiday Inn could learn from YVR Fairmont's initiative. I don't know where you are going next week, but I sure look forward to being with you there on YouTube.
