  1. Hi Mike, just stumbled across your channel and really enjoyed this clip. I travelled this route back in September 2018 and stayed at the Hotel at Crianlarich where the train splits for Oban. I've visited your hometown Vancouver three times and have friends there and in Cranbrook BC. I live in the competing city for the most liveable in the world, Melbourne in Australia. You should visit sometime.

Melbourne and the State of Victoria has a more temperate climate than Sydney and lots of variety in visitor attractions, plenty of history, as well as a great food and coffee culture. Getting around by public transport is easy and there is a comprehensive regional fast train system to access attractions outside of Melbourne. Late Spring (November) or early Autumn (March/April) are great times to visit. Google "visitvictoria.com.au" to access more detail. Let me know when you can make it down.
