  1. They dont really teach you programming in the university, the tech changes so much they just want to make sure you have a solid foundation.

  2. Yea this is the first time hes doing that, i think hes just trying out a new thing.

Ml and Data science does need some high end maffs like graph theory, probability and statisitics but then again no programmer is a master of this, its all new apllications. machine learning in particular seems to require you to have a bit of knowledge on different disciplines, but hey, this is programming and one of th best ones didnt even graduate.
