  27. That is not really the same thing. Sure, but the difference between fasting as a choice as opposed to being poor, is that you dont get quality meals in the latter. that is the difference. If you are fasting but then when its time to eat you just shove your face with noodles, white bread and other garbage or whatever is just available for a poor person, instead of getting the right vitamins, macronutrients, fats, etc when its time to eat.

  34.  @haiscore2614  because this is what Neil was afraid of, and this is what Joe Rogan was NOT asking. There is no sense to asking "why" in the way you phrased it. Why asked that way is a loaded word, you are looking for intent. Humans have intent the rest of the universe does not. Thats why its ok to ask "why do we have spoons?" we invented it so its easier to scoop food, there is a creator and purpose for it. As opposed to "why do we have gravity?" this is implying an underlying intent and purpose.

He's assuming based on probability, if you can't trust anything, you can triust this: what we do know is time is infinite or at least very very long compared to when it started and the present day. Then based on that premise, the probability that a simulation already happened is very close to 100% and you're already in it. That's really the crux of it.
