@TehCacti Horses only traverse well on certain landscapes, when you have to go through swamps or mountains, thats a big no-no. Also that means you have to feed the horse, stop for breaks and sleep, which means you also need to stop. I dont think people understand that when it comes to long distances, no land animal can beat a human, not even a horse. It will tire out before a human would. Walking on 2 legs is amazing isnt it?

@TehCacti you are talking about more recent times here. You think God built those flat pathways for horses? There were times they didnt exist. You can have 2 horses 4 horses even 10 horses it wont make a damn difference. If one needs to rest, everyone stops. Unless you plan on to leave the horses behind to die.

Marathon runners are not the healthiest, they are literally overclocking their bodies. Its not hard to understand, to output that much energy comes with a price. However, it beats the hell out of sitting in your couch eating potatoes and watching dumb shit on t.v.
