  2. People take everything as a personal attack and cry racism. It is simply good business sense. If you cant speak the language and I am not familiar with your culture, and I dont know if you are going to wreck the place. Then you are a liability to me. Japan is one of the most respectful cultures and they are very clean compared to the rest of the world. They like to do things a certain way. You would see this attitude by the way they care about tradition. It also doesnt help that they dont actually meet the renters themselves by their system, it adds more to the disconnect.
