  1. Gretchen Whitmer went to visit her father in Florida in April 2021 while telling everyone in Michigan not to go to Florida. Schools in Michigan were effectively closed for in-person learning for approximately 3 months (March 2020 - late May 2020) and there were subsequent closures, restrictions, and mask mandates throughout the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years, which negatively impacted students' learning, social and emotional well being. What's up with that?
