  1. I was doing more in my Maths textbook than the class at the first year of senior school and the teacher told me to stop as i was getting too ahead of the class! I was in the bottom group for maths and although i rose to the middle group by age 16 i still only left with an E grade in GCSE Maths. I went to a leafy suburban secondary school which although full of displaced east end white youths was not begotten with violent ethnic gangs like an inner city comprehensive.
