  2. ​ @maxwell8758 I am not a religious person, but I am also not an atheist. The problem I have with atheism is to believe in no higher power/intelligent designer/god/creator of some sort would mean to believe the entire universe just popped into existence from complete and utter nothingness, which is absurd not only logically, but scientifically. Everything in the universe that we know of adheres to the laws of physics, which contained within these laws are cause and effect and entropy. Nothing can't cause something. But then one may ask, what did the higher power come from, and that's a legitimate question as infinite regression is also absurd. The only logical answer to me is that there is some greater power that exists outside of our space and time that is not bound by the rules of our universe and is infinite in nature (yes, nearly impossible for a human to wrap their head around, but is allowable from a scientific standpoint). I can't get on board with organized religion simply because there are too many conflicting opinions and no way to know whom (if any) are right...but I also can't get on board with a belief in nothing and random chance/random existence either.
