The problem with that is where do you go if you sell it. It's all artificial. If you sell for 3x, you will have to live somewhere, so you will also pay 3x to buy another home.

The economy adjusted to a two income family. It basically became impossible to support a family on one income. So now both people work in most cases, but make half what they did 40 years ago in terms of purchasing power, so you're basically putting in twice the work for the same outcome, but in fact less if you have children because now you also have to pay for child care without a stay at home parent, and many of these just price gouge everyone because they can, because just about everyone needs their service.

TV is no longer the problem, if it ever really was one. Yes, it's mostly trash today, but the devices are the much bigger problem today. And as for the homeschooling thing, that's just not something most people can do. Most married couples have to both work. It gets tiring reading comments like this where people act holier than thou because "they homeschool". Well bully for you.

More or less, but yet we all created this problem. We are the ones who all bought up all the "must have" junk these people have peddled since time memoriam. We created these monsters.

He doesn't have paid ad breaks like most other channels. The only advertising I have ever seen him do is a bit he reads himself for a local bagel shop chain in Florida.

Yes, but this is nothing new. You can date this back to the early days of the industrial revolution. It was just a slow decline from a handful of robber barons, to a whole first world obsessed with money and objects. This has accelerated massively in the last few decades. But the bubble is going to burst. We are in a new gilded age now. This is bound to reset things at least a bit.

@paulBIOgeek Inflation isn't one hundredfold since 1955, more like tenfold. Things like housing and new vehicles have exceed the inflation curve by a substantial amount and that is the problem. A $4 gallon of milk wasn't 4 cents in 1955. But yes, a $5K house is at least a couple hundred thousand today. Even go back to 2012 when i bought my house for $200K, you about couldn't buy a garage for that now.

@furiousdestroyah9999 A share? Yes. Dominate it? No. Roughly 3% of the population is gay. About that same percentage are interracial couples. But if you watch a string of commercials you would think it's everyone. Obviously it's gone way beyond inclusion, and become conditioning at this point.
