"Nobody cares about your watch" I love it. And I'll tell you what, I like the cheapo Casio Illuminators, of course in the super bright red and blue 1980's styling and I get tons of compliments on them. Back when I was younger and wanted to look like a hot shot wearing expensive watches, nobody cared 😂

@Orxbane The problem is we aren't given much of a choice anymore. My family never owned a minivan, we really didn't need one as it was just my parents and me, but my dad always was a fan of the European style. We had a Volvo 240 Estate when I was in high school, and later when I was older my parents had a Mazda 6 Wagon (it was actually really cool and quite rare, it was the grand touring model with all the sport packaging), and an Audi A4 Avant. After dad passed, my mom wanted to trade in the Audi for a new one and the Avant at that point was so hard to find and so expensive she unfortunately ended up getting a Subaru Crosstrek. It's not a terrible vehicle, but it's so boring typical American little crossover box.

My family never had one. We had an Oldsmobile, and later a Volvo 240 Estate wagon. Somehow, I think that is actually less cool than a minivan 🤣

Back in the 80's, if your mom wasn't dropping you off in a Dodge Caravan/Plymouth Voyager with faux wood paneled sides, you weren't cool. At the time, my parents had an Oldsmobile. So uncool. A total grandpa car and they were way younger than I am now, then. In fact, my actual grandpa drove a similar Olds in a different color at the time...of course dad only had the Delta 88, and gramps splurged for the Delta 98 😂

I'm old enough to remember that brief period of time in the mid 80's when minivans were actually cool. And that was a real thing. Minivans were modern, anyone driving an old full size van was considered a dinosaur. But full size vans did still have a purpose as cargo haulers and commercial people movers. But sadly the minivan did successfully kill off the station wagon. Personally, as a kid I always preferred riding backwards in the third row of the old giant station wagons of the era, it was fun 😂

@thomashenderson3326 I will mostly agree with you, with the exception of Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot. They are both very practical vehicles and very well made. That's about it though for larger stuff. The rest are complete trash. I was literally rear ended stopped at a light in my mom's little Subaru by some idiot that hit me at about 40mph in a Suburban. It crumpled the back end of the Subaru a bit, it rung my bell a little, but I was fine and the car was repaired like new. The Suburban, on the other hand, was completely demolished. The entire front end was destroyed including the engine. I don't know what happened with it but I would suspect it was a total loss.
