  1. I remember back in the day when movies took a good year or in some cases several to get to home video. I want to say it was like 5 years from the theatrical release of ET, which I loved as a kid, for it to get to home video, which by that time I was older and had no interest in it. Then when stuff did come out, the video store might have a couple copies, so good luck getting it. Now stuff is on pay per view within weeks of it ending at the box office, and DVD and Blu-ray within a couple months.
