@deanhall6045 you can only be hard if you are given the tools nessecary to harden yourself. struggling with mental issues and working hard to build yourself up, only for some shitheel to take everything away from you and throw you into a pit of inescapable despair.. for some people suicide is as a result easier than climbing your way back up to something that resembles an existence. the reality is that even the hardest people suffer immensely (thus the prevalence of alcoholism among the "hardened communities" of the world) and telling people who are already at their wits end to just keep enduring hit after hit is how you wind up with a society on the brink of complete collapse.
