as much as i'd like to blame CIA or some NATO organization, as that would be a strategy that sounds like part of their MO. However, there is a lot of reasons why they wouldnt do it. -if exposed, would sour relations immensely between the US, CIA or whatever and their allies. wouldnt be worth it. -Its likely closely guarded by the parties most closely related to it, namely germany and russia, thus further risk of being exposed. -The gas has already been shut off, so it would be immensely foolish to do it. The argument for why Russia would have done it makes a lot more sense, as Russia not only has a history of petty attacks, but causing a gas leak right into the sea, fucking up aquatic life and forcing the EU to spend time and money fixing the pipe or at least sealing it, sounds exactly like something they would do. a scorched earth strategy that is as shortsighted as it is backwards has been the russian MO since the middle-ages.

@matthewmiller8297 Thats a straight up lie, and you know it. If they lack any real respect, love or care for their own infrastructure and military, why would they give a rats ass about Ukrainian civilian infrastructure? And that's without mentioning the mines planted on wheat and grain fields, which also counts as infrastructure. Unless of course you're gonna spin some tale about how the Ukrainian government is actively self sabotaging and blaming it on Russia, as if that level of 8th dimensional level chess is even mildly plausible.

@robobrain10000 You can be incompetent and still powerful. One thing I am beyond certain Russia does have quality control on is subterfuge and secret operations. No big guns, no tanks, no expensive maintenance. Just a culture of control, ruthless meritocracy, secrecy and the occassional bit of direct weaponry. There is a reason why Russian spies can murder oligarchs in London, yet struggle to assassinate zelensky.
