  2. It was okay as long as Amazon had DRM that was breakable, but now that they've started to use DRM that appears to be unbreakable, you're better off downloading it off of the usual places. Expect that Amazon will start to disallow side-loading of content, at which point there would be no reason to buy a kindle.
