  1. There are kits you can find online that will allow you to put in a vent valve on plastic tanks which improves flow significantly. The Eagle Brand (I have two of them) have an optional yellow funnel which makes it easier to use. I also have a Justrite can that I like because the metal funnel makes it easier to fill up my tractor without spills. Also, when I drain a gas can, I leave the cap off allowing the can to dry out, and if there is dirt in it, I just blow it out with compressed air.
