@franklee5099 Ford hasn't done anything to stop dealer gouging, instead, they raised prices significantly this year so corporate could get a slice of those inflated prices for themselves.

The problem was when chips were in short supply, all the automakers (yes, even the EV makers) loaded up their cars jacked prices and told consumers to take it or leave it, and demand was so strong, consumers took it. The trouble is, now they're producing a lot more trucks (they don't really make cars any more) AND raising prices at the same time, and consumers simply can't afford them. Ford's EV offerings are uniformly terrible, and they're even more expensive. Volume car companies cannot afford to go upscale if their customers can't afford it.
