A lot of this is documented in Goehring & Rozencwajg Q4 2023 Natural Resource Market Commentary You can search for it; it's readily available. They point out that a lithium battery needs to operate for 70 years to pay back the carbon debt incurred from it's creation. Now mind you, the whole carbon-is-bad narrative is utter B.S. but for the people who think carbon is bad, it debunks the value of EVs as being good for the environment.
