@jamesf3683 That's a local phenomenon. In the US gas is extremely cheap still because we are largely self-sufficient.

@jamesf3683 They will, but a (US) gallon of gasoline right now costs about $2.70, primarily because it doesn't have to be shipped via ocean shipping.

@unnamedchannel1237 It is warming, but the bulk of it is due to natural causes. We have no ability to affect the climate, regardless.

@jamesf3683 A study in the Wall Street Journal said that for an EV battery to make up the CO2 needed to make it, it would have to last 75 years. Now, my take is CO2 is not a pollutant, so it's not relevant. In the end, I like the concept of EVs, but government mandates for EVs are definitely a fraud meant to shift money from consumers to the rich people who influence the government. Those EV mandates will shortly be gone in the US.

@jamesf3683 Just filled up. Gas at 2.70 US a gallon. Gas prices vary across the US depending on how far they are from a refinery or distribution point. Near cities it's cheaper because of the amount of distributors. If you're 100 miles into the wilderness, gas might cost you $4-5 a gallon because of the transportation cost. I realize if you're from England that might not be a thing.

If the world seriously believed CO2 was an evil gas, they'd be building nuclear plants as a top priority, bu they're not. Which tells you the whole thing is a scam.
