@sdcoinshooter Yes, the Mustang EV is a flop. That is inarguable. Ford has a 6 month supply of them, and they've stopped making them.

iscadean3607 So you think the Mustang EV is a great car, the only thing it requires is better marketing? Funny stuff.

@Ammotive28 The problem with Chinese cars is the same problem with anything from China; they're cheap, they have a lot of features, out of the box they do what they promise, mostly, but they tend to break quite readily, and when you try to get service or parts years later, the manufacturer has changed their name and you can't find a trace of the original company. To make this problem worse, Chinese cars don't even meet the "cheap criteria". They should be selling them for about $10K US, but they're actually pricing them like well-established brands. They have "sucker" stamped all over them.

@sdcoinshooter Well, the Teslas are fairly ugly, even if I admire the man who created the first practical EV, Elon Musk. Now, the seamy side of that was that Tesla was built on US Taxpayer subsidies, and they still make a significant part of their margins on money from carbon credits.

iscadean3607 If your gas cars are smelly and smoking it sounds like you didn't do proper maintenance on them. Even my wife knows maintenance is necessary on her car.

@sdcoinshooter He's not far wrong.

Well, Alfa today is part of big conglomerate PSA/Fiat (now Stellantis) that has been struggling with cost structures from old labor agreements. In the US their most iconic brand is Jeep (which all of you know about); they've completely priced Jeeps out of the market in the US; with the electric version of the Jeep somewhere close to $100K US. As you can imagine, buyers are few for a crude vehicle that is overpriced by a factor of 3.

@richardkev3077 I would buy one for $20K.

@prjndigo A turbo 4 cylinder in a car can make a lot of zoom. The ford 2.0L ecoboost in ST trim makes 290 lb/ft of torque.
