  1. To be fair, gas powered vehicles have far more fires than EVs, however, the big difference is there's no practical way to put out an EV fire coming from the battery. Yes, technically there is, but it requires CO2 to extinguish, and generally the fire bridgades don't carry that type of equipment around.

  2. Never heard of a lead acid battery causing a car fire. I have seen one explode because of a faulty cell, but that didn't cause a fire.

  3.  @dougfisher1813  Well we can solve that by putting a sticker under the hood "DO NOT HAMMER ON THE BATTERY TERMINAL". What sticker shall we use for EV's?
