I'm probably the only person who thought the VW Diesel cheating "scandal" was actually very clever and I applauded VW for doing it since the difference was so tiny between what their diesels emitted and the regulation. Meeting the standard was significantly more expensive and ironically made them burn more diesel fuel. Regulators are not the brightest people. It reminds me of the original "Air Pumps" the industry used in the 1970's & 1980's. It would pump air through the exhaust to dilute the exhaust gases to prove that they were meeting tailpipe emissions.

@TroySavary Anyone can see your FUD about EVs is all lies Here's no lies. EVs cost significantly more than their equivalent gas/diesel competition and are inferior in every way including TCO, utility and resale price.

@TroySavary Fuel costs are at best the 4th biggest cost of running a car. Depreciation is #1 (EVs depreciate far more quickly than any other type of car). In fact the depreciation is so bad for EVs that it simply doesn't matter how much gas costs. The total cost of ownership for 15 years is decidedly in favor of gas/diesel cars.

@sullivanrachael That's the dream with EVs. Only the elite will have personal transportation, the proles will take the bus and if they complain on social media, or even to to friends, their social score will be reduced so they're no longer allow on any transportation. That's the left wing vision for the future.

The UK is in a bad way. They're jailing people for speaking out against Labor and immigrants. Stalin and Pol Pot are smiling from hell at them, knowing in the end, they won.
