  1.  @paulsimpson8990  Probably not. They could've chosen an EV now, but they didn't because of range considerations. When EVs can charge up fully in 5 minutes, and chargers go up by 3 orders of magnitude in place outside of cities, and the price of EVs comes down by 50% (and not chinese cars). Then sure, people will be more interested.

  2. @ you don’t need to charge in 5 minutes Generally when you replace an older technology with a newer one, the newer one should be better in all aspects. EVs aren't nearly there yet. I have spent probably 5-10 hours fast charging on long trips but again I am not waiting for be car but eating or using the toilet A step backwards, and not suitable for large numbers of people in the US who regularly travel large number of miles at high speed (80MPH for hours on end). There's often nothing for hundreds of miles, not even filling station.
