@davidvanderklauw He's right. Manufacturers are raising the price of IC cars to subsidize the losses on EVs. In the US, even with a total subsidy estimated at $55K (US) per vehicle, they're still too expensive.

The government has poured billions in the "war on cancer", and if anything cancers are becoming more common and less curable.

The people buying EVs when they were novel wanted to be able to show they were personally addressing the discredited climate change . Now that EVs are no longer the latest thing, they want to go back to cars that they simply drive without worrying about range, charging or resale value. As to people expecting the government to build out chargers, why should the taxpayer 100% subsidize the building of the chargers? Government is never a good steward of infrastructure, and it's the least effetive way to get things done.
