  4.  @mguytv  Well, depends on what you mean "best". VHS was better in consumer eyes because it could get 6 hours on a single tape, which is what most consumers wanted.

  5.  @Hogger280 But consumers valued longer tape times, and Beta was slow to react to get to 6 hour tape times. This isn't speculation, there have been numerous studies and books that have confirmed this.
