The irony is the atmosphere needs more CO2. If we had more CO2, we could produce far more food, and the planet would be more hospitable to all forms of life.

@adamfox1669 If you’re 80 and have not helped you should stop breathing our AIr Perhaps if you haven't accomplished anything with your life, you might consider your own advice.

@tigertoo01 Well, her being wrong about the climate is probably the most important fact about her. One has to wonder why sincere belief trumps skepticism ? You can believe in magic with all your heart, but it doesn't make it real. It just makes you a little crazy. But be aware when adults believe wisdom comes from the programmed beliefs of an autistic child, it speaks more to the simple-mindedness of the adults than any imagined wisdom. And I would say the same thing in front of her or her father, even as they screamed "*HOW DARE YOU*" over and over like the crazy people they are.

@tigertoo01 You might turn your own advice around and be embarrassed that you're making yourself look foolish

@tigertoo01 why not just accept that she’s put time and effort into studying the affects of climate change is having on our environment Why would we just imagine something to be true, when the facts say otherwise. Unless you're saying that Climate Science is so simple a girl in elementary school can be an expert. You can't have it both ways, either Climate Science requires decades of study in meteorology, statistical methods, and four years of a science undergraduate degree, or you can be autistic girl and become an expert in 3 years as a 13 year old .

@wrongthinker843 Correct! Gasoline burns, it doesn't explode. To make it explode it has to be gasoline vapor combined with oxygen. EVs supply their own oxygen when they burn making it impossible to put out if they catch fire.

@tigertoo01 She's unqualified to do any science. She's unqualified to do any mathematics at more than a grade school level. If she was given data or was provided with a research paper, she couldn't understand any of it. She's telling us about her feelings. If that means something to you fine, but the world frankly doesn't care about you or some other kid's feelings. Feelings are meaningless

@scaryfakevirus Math to him is like a cross to a vampire. These kids throwing around the word science can't even define science.

@proto57 _ except maybe physical threats_ From this guy, his biggest threat would be I'm going to block you
2
@tom1949213 I would get up in front of the UN and scream How DARE you!
2
@scaryfakevirus Mass creates gravity. The spin of the earth is not gravity.

The editorial board at the WSJ is far smarter than the people writing the articles at the WSJ. In fact the "reporters" at the WSJ can't even read a balance sheet these days.

@zwieseler A battery-powered vehicle having a fire incident is newsworthy Primarily because they can't be put out. There is a video on the YouTube where a Tesla fell into the water and it was burning underwater. Imagine what that would do if you parked it in your garage and it caught fire, or if you were stuck in a car like that after an accident. Your body would be ashes, even your relatives couldn't bury a body.
1
@tigertoo01 The warranty doesn't cover the cost of a battery damaged in an accident. EV insurance premiums are expensive because they're written off with only minor damage because the battery cannot be assessed after an accident, so they must assume the battery is no longer good.

@jimihendrix991 she's also likely autistic. But perhaps that's where the crazies like to get their advice from on climate. Did she even finish secondary school?

@tigertoo01 What has she said that's untrue Okay: This is all wrong. I shouldn't be up here. Well, she admits she is wrong here. So this is rated as TRUE You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words Actually her father has stolen her dreams and childhood, so this is rated as FALSE For more than 30 years, the science has been crystal clear Well, this is untrue. Science is not built by consensus, it is built on data and climate change advocates refuse to release their raw data because in their own words it would be misused . So this is rated as MOSTLY FALSE As to the rest of the emotional garbage she's been programmed with, if that moves you that's fine, but at least admit it's your religion, and you consider Greta the patron saint of your climate religion.

@kiae-nirodiariesencore4270 the reality is if the western world stopped using any sort of oil to heat, and drive transportation, it will no impact on the climate. And in the meantime, China will continue to bring on two coal plants a week...
1
@tigertoo01 and I will go back on everything I said Why do you think anybody cares what you do?
1
@urbanspaceman7183 Yeah, that is a perfect description of you. I was trying to be polite, but as you're self-identifying, I have to say "you go, girl".
1
@urbanspaceman7183 You've tried to attack, but you're like a cave man going against a modern army You can't even explain what you're trying to do. If you're likening it to attack, it's much closer to stomping your feet around and everybody else went around you, so you assumed you won. It's funny, but not in the way you imagine.
1
@scaryfakevirus Which you can prove with something as simple as a level, right? In fact, the ancient Greeks not only proved the world is round, they worked out the circumference with a high degree of accuracy with nothing more than two holes and the sun.
1
@scaryfakevirus Newton's 2nd law.... a body in motion tends to stay in motion. Motion doesn't affect your weight. If you weigh your self in a truck going 60 MPH or on an airplane at 600 MPH, you'll weigh exactly the same. Acceleration causes you to feel heavier or lighter, not velocity.
1
@scaryfakevirus centripital force is exerting a constant acceleration on a mass. Remember that a body will travel in a straight line unless there is a vector (acceleration) that is preventing it. In the case of the earth spinning if this thing called "gravity" didn't exist pulling you straight down at 32 f/s you'd fly off the earth immediately, but the reality is that the centripital force is perpendicular to the axis of rotation and isn't enough for you to notice or affect your weight. If the earth's full rotation was about 16 times faster than it is today (a full day & night being 90 minutes) then we'd all fly off the earth, which would make it difficult to type all this into YouTube.
