  1. Nah. This engine is pretty robust, probably one of the better ecoboost engines out there. The only reason this engine fails is because they're very tunable and when they get tunes on them (different turbo, etc) are getting in excess in 400HP, and then they run into a lean conditions which then puts a hole in the piston, which basically destroys the engine. You run this in stock tune, it will have a long life.
