@azul do you realize the number of scammers who put out these fake "I'm really worried about my retirement planning" and then the inevitable "Well, my financial advisor is Jane Doe and she is making a 15% return every week".

Richard, don't you think it's dumb to take financial advice from complete strangers on YouTube?

@Person-mh6xq Do you realize this entire thread is being inhabited by scammers?

You probably won't. Just apply for food stamps now. One thing not to do is listen to Camille Alicia Garcia. Camille was originally a prostitute who would steal from men she serviced. Today she is serving thirty years in jail for fraud.

State taxes... depends on the state Federal taxes... treated as regular income except for a tiny sliver. Its a way of reducing benefits while congress says it's not doing any such thing.

@SuzanneU It actually does nothing. And the bulk of replies on his channels are this type of scam replies. I've had enough, I'm going to ask YouTube to stop recommending this channel. At this point, I assume Azul is aware and is okay with it.

There are ladder-type strategies where you take out money during good years and invest it in a 5 year note (or similar) paying interest. The point is to try to even out your cash flow in good and bad years with the market. You can learn about them online, but I wouldn't trust anyone in comments on YouTube to give you pointers.

Clement, I check the Tarot cards and it appears you will get cheated out of your retirement funds because you were too dumb be skeptical of people spamming youtube videos.
